Out of body experiences
Oct 24th, 2006 at 11:38am

Why am I having out of body experiences?  I try to control it but I can't I slip into a sleep where it takes control of my body.  I feel an awarness of it happining and I'm outside of my body.  My mind is awake and I feel paralyzed, can't move.  I feel something touching my body and can't do anything about it.  It's very strange.  I have to struggle with my thoughts to get out of this state.  Often I feel myself float outside it's very bizzare.  I tried to play with and go along to see if I could actually see myself and I did.  I floated towards the window and it was very hard but I turned around and saw myself in bed sleeping.
I got so scared I instantly woke up to find myself in bed.  I just wish I knew why?

this is the beginning. try to stay calm. just before going to sleep, repeat to yourself that you wish to be guided by a being of light, of PUL, or that you will not accept less than this to guide you. you will be fine. you are just being made aware you are more than a physical body. this takes time and patience to learn. know that each thought you have, each feeling is very important to scrutinize as you are a creative person.

Hi Marguerite,
Robert A. Monroe had very similar problems at the beginning of his OBEs. He was very concerned that he was either physically or mentally ill. He didn't know why this happened to him. His first book tells about this. In his second book he let us know many answers (though new questions too) he had found. Maybe you read it and get some ideas about how to handle it.
This "someone" who is touching you, maybe it is a guide who wants to help you to go out of your body. As Alysia ssid, make clear you do not want low level entities scaring you, but, (if so) that you would appreciate a true personal helper who is wise enough to provide only benefit to you. Maybe you have a mission you don't know about now. The most important thing is, as I read many times, is to stay clear/cool in mind and to reduce fear as much as possible. Maybe you just get used to it with time, as Monroe did, so that you feel free enough to explore this state.
The fact that you read about OBE, so that you know others do have this also is very helpful I think. I had an OBE some months ago and if I haven't read about it before I wouldn't know at all what this could be, but with some knowledge I was able to make a little experiment, to press my hand against something to check how solid matter is in this state. It was semi-solid; when pushed hard, my hand slipped into it, wow that was a crazy feeling!

Hi Spooky,
Thanks for the information. I'll have to read Monroe's book, I'm sure it will help me.
I don't understand what a low entitie is?  How do I know if It's a guide trying to help me?
If it were a guide why would it be touching my body?  It feels real and I feel the touch as if it were human, it's scary.  As far as OBE, I know that I float through anything solid. I just slide right through.  It's amazing.  I find myself someplace I've never been, in someones
home, haven't a clue who, where?  I would like to have a OBE and visit someone I know.

Hi Alysia,
When you said ask to be guided by a being of light, PVL, what does that mean?  I do have a strong belief in religion.  I'm catholic and I strongly believe In God our Father and Jesus and of course the Holy Spirit.  What's happening to my body with these OBE, makes me wonder if it'a a good thing, or is it evil?  Does this even have anything to do with religion.

hi, PUL = pure unconditional love. no price tag on it, sort of like grace delivered from the holy spirit. you have to learn you are safe when you go out of body. took me 20 to 30 years to fully realize the saftey. has nothing to do with religion, you are right. theres nothing wrong with you. we have an astral body which disengages from the physical brain part of us. the physical body is not your entire beingness. these are vehicles of consciousness. I shouldn't say it has nothing to do with religion, so let me qualify that a little. The basis of Christianity is to be involved in a process of becoming  Christ-like consciousness. Christianity at its finest is to love unconditionally, yourself, your life and others accordingly and to do the things that Christ taught us we could, such as heal one another. when you separate from your body this way, it is your expanding awareness separating from the flesh. your awareness body has no form but contains "I Am consciousness." you are, and you will always be you, even when engaging these other vehicles and seeing two of yourself. its confusing I know. the feeling of being touched in one scenario could be your own self touching this flesh to get you to examine and become aware and lucid of your total being, that you, Marguerite, are much more than this flesh body, you are extending yourself or as they say projecting your mind outward.
see yourself as light because that is what we are composed of. at first its very scarey, like some other force is acting on you. yet there are many invisible guides who wish to assist your awakening and nothing can hurt the intrinsic light of which you are and have always been. when you go out again if it happens, keep in mind that you as the light are invincible and nothing can hurt you unless you give power to it by fearing it. I know its hard, and if you say to yourself I don't want to do this anymore then you can block the experiences if you wish. personally I benefitted greatly from such experiences and also experimented with pushing myself thru walls, etc. I would ask for a personal angel if I were you. Theres plenty of guides to assist who will be your angel and you can take baby steps, like walking thru walls then jumping back into your physical body. it always feels safer in the physical because we're so used to it. hope this helped a little! love, alysia

Hi Marguerite,

when you're annoyed or scared of this touch-feelings, you can try to imagine that you're emitting bright white light from within you. Imagine this light to be the light of love, the light of the source. Imagine it to expand around you, and whatever comes in the way of this light, it must either be friendly and filled with love, or must hide from it.

Helper/guide: When you feel a nonphysical being, spirit, near you and you'd like to know if you can trust it, check what your feeling says. Has it friendly, careful, loving, humorous vibes? Then you can start a conversation or whatever you like, if it's nasty- make it leave, or leave it.
