Steve Irwin's Memorial
Sep 20th, 2006 at 1:14am

Hi All
Don't know if you have seen it yet, but we watched Steve Irwin's memorial this morning (8.30am South australian time) thought it was a little early, but perhaps this ties in with the fact it was broadcast internationally.
it was very moving and was a great reflection of who he was.
i was just a little bit worried that it might be "over the top" but it was very beautiful and very humbling.
I did shed more than a few tears.
Yesterday we had a televised funeral for Peter Brock the race car driver who died the same week. Another Australian icon!  Stange that all these high profile people who are involved in bettering the community and the world we live in are leaving at the same time!
love to all

I've heard this on the radio today.

I watched it last night at 9:00 pm. I don't think it was over the top at all. I thought it was very tastefully done. When one considers the love brought to the world from Steve for all animals and conservation..........this is what brings people together and gives understanding to our lives. He came and did what was in his life blueprint and left and it's up to everyone to carry on for him in all the good he has done. I've never had the death and life of anyone affect me as much as his did and still does.

Love, Mairlyn
