Retrieval of many stages
Aug 31st, 2006 at 9:44am

Greetings friends,
Last spring I reported a retrieval of a shooting victim, an old school friend. Whether he had killed himself or someone else did it, I wasn't sure. During our meeting then he hid his face behind a document of some sort, and the entire process was handled by Helpers or Consciousness Workers as soon as we'd greeted each other.-----
Early this morning the phone rang, then rang again, but as I was waking up I realized it's not a phone we've had for years. So I suspected it was a signal (or a dream) and thought 'why not?", and answered it mentally. It was Phil, the shooting victim, and he said he didn't like it where he was. I was conscious enough to realize I couldn't just sympathize but had to find out more, so I asked him what he didn't like there.  "It's dark here and it's the other people; they're all so depressed and act like they feel guilty about something."
Just then my alarm clock went off so I asked him to stay near where he was and that I'd be right back. I felt bad about putting him on hold for long but hoped he didn't perceive time passing.
Also I've never been able to get back to an interrupted retrievee, so I worried through making breakfast for dog and husband, then told them I'd 'gotten up on the wrong side of the bed' and needed a nap to restart the day.
When I went back to bed I was very specific in setting my intent, told my Helpers his name and that I didn't know if it was focus 23, but it could be. When we got there I didn't see or sense him in the darkness, but then it turned out now he was a little boy like when we first met. He was crying, couldn't find his brother (who'd died of cancer almost 20 years before.) I felt relieved because looking for his brother would get him to come willingly. Two men in the uniforms of the county zoo his brother directed stepped up and took Phil's hands. I stepped back and they walked ahead.
I got ready for the hands on my shoulders to lift me back but they said, 'Would you like to go on with him?' Certainly, so we lifted off and moved, then landed in a wooded park, not unlike the county park where his brother's love of animals had earnned him much respect and support.
We got there ahead of them but gently they landed ahead of us in time to see a magnificent tiger, almost white striped, standing behind a tree.  'Little Phil' was now a young man and stood waiting expectantly, unafraid of the tiger which stood looking around. His brother let the suspense build and didn't show up for some time. Finally his brother came out from behind the same tree and the young men embraced.
A funny effect of their hug was that something in my right side changed and a soreness or emptiness I hadn't really noticed as it just was for so long, it connected to something good. Funny too that tho it was good it made me cry pretty deeply and I had to stuff a pillow over my face in bed to keep anyone from hearing me. I was embarrassed and wanted to leave but the pressure on my shoulders held me in place. Someone said 'just a moment.'
Phil turned and rushed back to me, telling me something. I could feel my head nodding and my eyes changing (surprise, happiness, tears), but couldn't hear his words. Then he smiled, turned and rushed back to his brother and the tiger and we lifted off.
This was my first retrieval that got divided into several segments and where I had an (unexpected) emotional response to what was going on. So now i don't have to worry that either of those factors will neccessarily botch up a retrieval.---Onward!

Wow Bets thats wonderful what a good friend you are to Phil.  The Tiger could have been a guide. I wonder why Phil was in a dark place ... but now he's in a light place?

Onward with strength and love dear Bets.

Hi Mair and Caryn,
It just happens, doesn't it, so 'Great job!'  Smiley  goes to my Helpers.

Caryn, I suspect that his being in a dark place shows guilt about how he died.  We were raised very conventionally and conservatively in the conservative Midwest. He got into some big questions during college and perhaps eventually couldn't cope with answers or choices he found. Whatever. Fortunately he realized in just a couple of months that he didn't have to stay in that frame of mind!

I didn't even know where the helpers had taken him the first time. He must have been lost nearby, then got taken to 23, and now is on 25 or even 27?   Smiley Yay!

Bets, I'm sure they took him to Focus 27. I don't think Helpers ever take anyone to any of the BST. Now I've had it happen when I've been brining a group to Focus 27 and some have dropped off in the BST's.  And that's because they go to where they resonate with others like them (same beliefs).

Hey Bets,
congratulations, that's one of the more complex ones, the darkness, the break, the age change, then you could go with him to his next place, and you also are involved in a personal way. Quite interesting!
