Holy moly, Kyo !
What are you trying to do now ?!
You say you're bringing some of the most fearsome topics in the world--universe!-- to this community so that we can raise the consciousness of these issues? WOW--That's quite a compliment, but the responsibility, if one were to take it on, is abit over-bearing right now. Couldn't you at least spread them out over a broader time range so each could get some attention/energies?
With them all bunched up like this --
     female genital mutilation
     The Big C cancer
huge vacuums in space that can suck up planets !
one might think you were fear-mongering so that in our insecurities we would head to Hillarion for an expensive reading!

(I'm sending this to myself to keep a record. The next time I get upset with you and this isn't the first you know, I'm sending my problem with you on to others to see if I'm so far out of line.)

Dear Betson,

As this is not the 1st private I've received from you regarding your dissatisfaction over my posts, and it does not appear it would be the last, it's better to let this out into the open.

Whilst this was indeed a private message you sent, having given due consideration to the nature of this matter, it's probably the appropriate thing to do, to post this out (in an off-topic forum, of course). Afterall, clearly if you didn't wish to have anything further made out of this, you wouldn't have sent the PMs in the first place.

Now, the purpose of this post, is (most certainly) NOT to 'declare war'. If you know anything of me by now, that's not my interest. The purpose of this post, is to let your frustrations be known to the rest on the forum. In other words, for information's sake only.

I am not asking for anyone (eg. others on the forum, a moderator, or Bruce himself) to arbitrate, to pass 'judgement' (on whos 'right' or 'wrong'; silly ideas), or even to give their comments or opinions on this matter.

Because the way I see it, your frustration is with my posts, while as far as I'm concerned, I have no issues with you, or even your frustration. However, it is unfortunate that you feel this way, and it is not what I would have wanted.

But having said all this, the fact remains that my intentions and posts, appear to have been misconstrued or misintepreted by you. And as I see it, or as they say, IMHO (In My Humble Opinion), my posts are within bounds of what is appropriate and acceptable.

Therefore, and bearing in mind I have no wish to have quarrel with you, I shall do the following :

Unless the Moderator (whom incidentally is the forum owner) Bruce, in no uncertain terms ban me from the Afterlife Knowledge Forum, I shall naturally continue what I feel has been appropriate for me to do all along, which is to post materials that are IMO informative, useful or helpful.

I'm aware that you, Betson, are the moderator of "The Book Club Pages" of this forum, but as you can see, I'm not posting in those subsections. I do suggest (not just to Betson, but to all) that the next time you read a post (whether from myself or anyone else) that you disagree with (either in content or in perceived intention), you remind yourself that you are free to

a) not read it.
b) post your own opinions on the *subject matter* discussed.

I would however, not recommend for unfortunate feelings of frustration or upset to be had, because these do not serve yourself, nor anyone else, very much.

In conclusion, dear Betson, I feel it unfortunate that you feel this way, but (honestly) cannot apologize for how you choose to perceive, interpret or feel about my posts or this matter.

Please understand if I may not necessarily reply or engage you on this (or any other) thread, because that so often leads to "flame wars" and (worsened) ill-feelings, which is the last thing I want.

I wish you well, and hope you have a great week.
Kyo

Sorry for jumping in the thread when no opinions were desired but I have something I need to say.
Bets, you know you have contacted me a couple of times as well through PM. I still have your PM from the 3rd of April and I've no intention of deleting it. That's how much you touched me and inspired me.
How someone like you can get Kyo so wrong?
Really, I don't know much, but one of the few things I know is that Kyo is a very gentle soul, with a heart as big as the sky, full of good intentions.
You might find his posts more or less to your liking but there's nothing negative behind them. Just his wish to inform us. Information, he truely believes, will be of help to us on this difficult road of life. He is sharing with all of us through his post.
Why do you say he's trying to scare us all into getting a costly Hilarion reading?
You are so unfair. Are you implying he's got anything to gain?. That is not the case at all.
He recommends the reading because his experience was so positive and life changing that he wishes the same on everyone.
Not long ago he even offered to pay for someone in this board to have the reading. That's how much he thinks of the reading and how much he wishes people well. He's prepared to be out of pocket so that someone might benefit from a Hilarion reading.
Why people have to get so suspicious? I don't know.
I expressed my interest in the reading and he provided me with all the information I needed but never tried to PM me to convince me or push me to do it or anything like that.
I was the one PMing him asking for his help.
If he had anything to gain then, since he knew of my interest, he would've been on my case but as I said he just provided the information to aid me in making my own decision and then stepped aside.
I would do the same. If I knew of a life changing experience I would talk about it, with the hope that at least one person might benefit from it.
The genital mutilation thread wasn't pretty but it is still something that happens in some countries and he felt the need to let out his frustration about this crime against women. What is wrong with that?.
Please, Bets, you are such a precious PM friend to me. I hope you don't take my comments in a bad way. I just thought you are getting Kyo all wrong and I needed to give you my thoughts on that.

Much Love to You.

Sandra.

I agree with everything Sandra wrote.  The purpose of the boards is to express your opinion, and learn from each other.  If a person finds some threads he/she doesn't like, either chime in with an opinion, or choose a different thread and ignore those that don't resonate with you.

No one should feel intimidated however about questioning an opinion or insight.  We are, on the whole a good, open minded bunch on this forum.

It's also good to remember that "as above, so below"...Hilarion also has opinions, just like folks here, and just like here, there are others "over there" who don't agree.  I wouldn't go to a Christian counselor, for instance, for relationship advice, because I'm not Christian, and *for me*, that counselor wouldn't be relevant.  I'd go to a secular or pagan counselor, who's advise would probably be less relevant to a Christian.  Neither is wrong, but neither is likely to be totally unbiased.  Same with otherworld "counseling".  Could be right, could be wrong, pick one that resonates with you, and don't worry about the others.
