Hey everyone,

Wow I haven't been here for a ages it feels like! Laptops not working at the moment but came on today and the forums changed, looks good!

I had this really weird vivid dream last night which just wondered if anyone could shed any light on from an outsiders point of view, i can't find a message in it yet and its really confusing!

It started off with me and a few mates, we were in this big mansion, i don't know who owns the mansion but its none of us. We are upstairs on the highest floor and all sitting around and I had my bass guitar. I was trying to play to them this quite hard intro, (yup a red hot chilis peppers song!) and i couldn't do it, i couldnt get my fingers to work, just wouldnt happen. I didn't get annoyed but really wanted to show them so got a little frustrated.

This bit skips a bit but i wasn't with my mates anymore and was with my dad, we are downstairs, but then i'm outside in front of this mansion, its a massive garden, could even be the back to think of it, to the right if your standing with your back to the mansion is a little driveway with a tree and some bushes, that was where i was. suddenly a few cars drive past at high speed and screech to a halt just past me so they are now inbetween me and the mansion. I don't know who they are (maybe i did in the dream) and why they wanted us but i knew they were bad so started running towards the house, they were jumping out trying to get me, but i got through and ran into the house. These guys wanted to take over everyone, like a world thing, controlling them.

I was running, heading upstairs, for some reason i knew my dad was up there and I was trying to protect us, on the way up i saw a women and tried to tell her what was happening and that we needed to escape, she just looked at me then her face changed and turned evil? i knew she was already with them so i ran and ran and got upstairs into the top room which had a window facing the garden with the guys in, there were more of them coming every second. They reminded me on the Navy, or the air corps in the army over here as they had blue berets on their heads and all in matching uniform, i couldnt see a leader.

I saw them coming into the mansion and i knew that woman i saw on the way up would be after me so i ran to the door and held it shut, suddenly they were pushing from the otherside but i didn't let them get in, i then pulled a couch in front on the door. Suddenly the dream jumped, there was no one trying to get in and me and my dad are still in the upstairs room, the window rattles and someone was trying to get in, i was thinking what to do when a woman falls through but i relise shes ok and hasn't been taken yet, but then the dream jumps again and its just me in the room.

I look outside and then see my (what i assume to be) my friends there in the garden, also my dad is there standing a little away from them, but they are just standing there holding drinks? they are lifeless and like zombies, they had been gotten by these people and now its just me. I feel bad seeing my dad down there because hes my dad and i failed to protect him. I didn't have a chance to protect my friends and feel sad they are caught as well. But i knew someone had to escape to try to one day save everyone so i looked for a way out. next thing there are people at the door again so i run to the window and now their are hundreds, thousands or this army? out there, all waving flags, celebrating, all trying to get into the house.

I decide to climb out the window quietly and work my way to the corner of the house and climb on the roof. Theres a massive wall as tall as the house to the left on the mansion with just a garden enclosed in it except for one side which had one side of another house. I saw this before i climbed out the window so that was my plan to get over there. I managed to get onto the roof and jumped and made it, i was now on the wall.

And thats where it cuts out and left me very confused as to what this is about, and what it symbolises? What is this thing that is getting everyone and not me? Why do i escape and why is it bad? why am i the only one who can escape? If anyone has any ideas i would really appreciate the help as at the moment i cannot understand any of it at all.

Ryan, I don't know if England has the draft, but it came to me that you were running from them because you don't want to join the army. Just a thought.

maybe this is about to be an individual and it's difficulties. There are times you feel nearly one with persons- that's you together with friends and your father in the mansion. But there are times, especially when you're a very individualistic head, where it seems no one understands you and everyone is against you, on the wrong side, and this is not only with the usual powerful established, fear-creating organisations, but also with persons which you felt very close to before. This is the cost of an own personality sometimes.

In the beginning of your dream you failed to show the people you felt close to what you are able to do. You failed to express to them what you think you can do and what you want and like to do, so you failed to show them your image of yourself.

The jumps in the dream may sign that in different times your personality and therefore the people you are close to are different.

Additionally, to be with your father in this house threatened by the crowd outside might mean the destruction of the childhood's idyll when becoming adult. For it was your father, and the crowd looked like soldiers (which are still associated with "male" despite female soldiers), you had unconsciously realized your father is an adult and male, he therefore is associated with the world outside, which is the world you're about to grow into also (it's not a question of age btw.), it shows you're born into this world and it's laws are everywhere.

The final opportunity for an escape could be standing for the desire to escape from those problems, but the destination is unknown. Maybe it's another world, maybe another level of maturity.

That's my ideas, and, as recoverer said once, probably more than only one meaning is true.

hey Ryan,
some time ago i had a few dreams that someone try to take control over me and other people. during the first dreams i was just running from it. than i had a dream with a demon (that word suits the best to that creature), he was at my home with his "helper" and was talking with my parents. only i knew whats are his intensions, he wanted to take control over us. the first was my father, my mother disappeared and i stayed alone with the demon and the helper (she was just watching everything and was really glad). now the demon wanted to take control over me, i didn't try to escape but tryed to defend myself. i felt very weak, the demon was too strong for me, and finally i faint. maybe it's not the best word, but i can't explain it different, i just had too little energy to see, feel, hear, to know waht's happening with me, etc. and after this dream next dreams was much different. i started to defend myself and attack those who wanted hurts me. by attacking i mean something like push off someone or something like that, not something that could hurt.
i think the most important thing in that kind of dreams is to face the enemy and to believe you're not weaker. but of course it's hard to remember it whilst you're dreming
