House
Jan 4th, 2006 at 7:23am

Here's a dream which seems to be returning to me in different forms. The dream is of a rather sprawling, rambling house with "additions" on it.

(It has 2 kitchens right next to each other, noticed in an earlier dream.  This is an interesting fact because I now find myself in the process of obtaining a second  small apartment for various creative and personal uses which is in the immediate vicinity of my current residence as a married individual, and practically next door in fact).

The dream house is not pristine by any means, but has a feeling of largeness and semi-emptiness. I think the front room is finished.  As I was dreaming about this house last night and became semi-lucid it occurred to me that I had been there before.

In the previous dream I enjoyed an outdoor area behind the house which contained a peaceful body of water in the back almost like a bayou. No other houses were in sight but I believe a few people were with me there.

Last night I was trying to "survey' the house to see if some items for a different apartment could be brought through it...the "ramblingness" of the house was a little complex.  There was a momentary pause in surprise that this belonged to me.

As I walked outside where the "bayou" had been earlier, I found myself needing to cross a very large "swimming pool" with quite a lot of debris in it. I briefly saw another individual on the other edge stepping out of the pool. I carefully made it across and had a very brief feeling of "sinking" at the edge because I wasn't actually standing on anything in the water at that place.  My feet were a few inches down in the water.

As I looked back across the pool I noticed that the top of the water was now free of debris and I heard the voices of other people enjoying it but couldn't see them. I looked through the water more and more clearly until I saw the great depth of the pool.  Someone was telling me the exact depth, someone not visible to me.

Anyway, it seems as if I have created this "dream place" and there is a feeling of ownership. I recognize it as mine. It is not the sort of place I would think I would create for myself...but certainly has the feeling of a "work in progress" and not quite lived in yet.

Seems to me to be about unconscious emotional issues, as water often represents emotion, feeling, and the debris and sinking in is pretty self explanatory.

But, in immersing yourself in these emotional issuse and dealing with them, you begin to clear your emotional self of the debris, the stuff you don't need anymore.

You are left with a amazing depth to your feeling self, yet not so much "emotional" anymore, cause you've gone through a major clearing and cleansing, all through your own choosing and will power to face your unconscious self.

A very positive precog dream about general future patterns.  Smiley

I would say "good luck" but i know you don't need it, so more like can't wait to see you there Wink

Thanks, friend.  I like that interpretation.  I was a little clueless about the "pool" and water does seem to be a recurring image for me.  That's really interesting.

thanks, blink Smiley

 Hi there,

Your welcome...  I have a lot of water dreams too, not so much like that usually, but a lot of dreams where i'm just enjoying myself in the ocean.

I have dolphins show up a lot in these dreams (these always have a very warm feeling), and once in a while some sharks, which cause me a little worry or fear, but not that much, and not that often.

Sometimes i'm not in the ocean but just near it.

Water represents both feeling in the emotional sense, and sometimes also seems to be a symbol of spirit, just like the ocean is a good symbol for spirit, its so large and powerful, yet so subtle and flowing...ever changing, yet ever the same.

Kind of represents the feminine aspect of Spirit, whereas fire seems to represent the masculine aspect of Spirit (though like water, fire can represent more specific things like strong anger, or agression).

It's interesting that these two elements in particular are known as the "cleansing" elements, like how in the N.T. John the Baptist cleansed symbolically by water, but later on said that Dr. J. would baptize by holy fire.

In one of Plato's writings, relating about the travels of the researcher, sage, and historian known as Solon, Solon has quite the interesting conversation with one of the Priests of Egypt after he mentions that the Greeks remember the great Flood.

But the Priest interrupts and says that you Greeks and your thought/beliefs are as children, and that there have been many cataclysms at cyclic intervals through various mediums, and the greatest always through fire or water.  He said that the priests of Egypt kept a much longer memory and knowledge because the location of Egypt was ideal for its survival during some of these past changes.

Many ancient prophecies, and some modern ones  like Cayce, or Phylos the Tibetan, say that this particular Age and Great cycle is going to end and begin anew in Fire (whatever this means).

Peace Blink

P.S., i can't seem to stop talking about the changes lately, forgive me for "preaching" on your thread...
