Title: Using Bruce's system: beginning of my 'journey'
Post by Eleanna on Mar 27th, 2023 at 9:44pm
Hello everyone,

Thank you to the admins for accepting me here. My name is Eleanna and I am a 34 yo PhD student (computational neuroscience).

I have been a lurker into these forums for a long time, and have read a lot of Bruce's work in the past. I finally purchased the MP3 recordings of the exercises as well as the guidebook. I thought it may be a good idea to share my experience here and see if anyone is interested (or just simply for the sake of sharing and putting it out there).

I am progressing slowly, doing each exercise multiple times until I feel comfortable enough with it. I have only progressed  to the second exercise ('establishing the flow') but already I have gained the new skill of being able to inhale and exhale slowly at a count of 6, something that I pretty much thought was impossible at first, haha! I am carrying a lot of doubt, but Bruce's wonderful guidance has been very inspiring.

I would be interested to hear anyone else's experience , or anything at all. Thank you all

Hello:

If you are like me, you'll find that your spiritual path doesn't progress as you expect. Patience is a key word.

Hello! Thank you for being here, a voice in the darkness, haha. Thank you for the advice. A few years ago I would have casually replied by reassuring you that I am up to the challenge. However, I am sure I will suffer through a bumpy road. Oh well. That's what we're here for. Anytime you would like to share any of your experiences regarding this, I would be all ears.

Hi Eleanna, and welcome!

Thank you for coming forward and sharing your enthusiasm and experiences.  It’s always nice to hear from someone new because there are many who come here to read but may not want to post.

I look forward to hearing more as you progress through the exercises.  For me, there’s always a new experience every time I do them.

Vicky

Oh thank you Vicky! I will update. While trying not to be unnecessarily perfectionist, I am still trying to get the feeling of energy 'flow' seamless from feet to top of head with unbroken concentration. My breathing technique and rhythm is improving every time I do them. I would be very happy to hear about any of your experiences!

Eleanna:

I had my first OBEs around 1980, and never used Bruce's techniques. Years ago I had OBEs with the effects, but eventually things changed so I just simply experience what I need to experience while meditating or lying in bed.

Don't underestimate the value of dreams. They often include symbology. What intelligence creates such symbology? During a regular dream you could be living in a house you don't live in, working a job you don't have, and interact with people you wouldn't normally interact with, and not question these inconsistencies. What intelligence enables you to have such selective memory?

"Regular" dreams can progress to something more than a dream. For instance, last night one of my dreams started in a regular way, it became a lucid dream and I noticed how real everything was, then I walked up a stairwell to a platform and God was there as a large orb of multi-colored light, I started crying and said "I finally get to return to you," I felt like a Near-death-experiencer who returns home, and the experience came to an end, but the wonderful feeling of love didn't.

P.S. to my last post, regarding my experience coming to an end, going by what I have figured out, we never actually lose contact with our divine Source, it just seems that way, as we pretend to be human beings.
