Title: Mac compatability of new forum?
Post by vajra on Jul 14th, 2008 at 6:15am
Hi guys. Neither is a show stopper or urgent, but I use a Mac on OS 10 and seem to have two problems.

The first was around in a different form on the older version, the second is new.

1. When entering the text of a reply in the entry box something goes screwy with the cursor. Often it hops spontaneously to another point in the written text from what the cursor is showing - or the cursor disappears - usually at the start of a new line.

There seem to be problems with line spacing between paragraphs too - some times clicking return causes a drop of two line spaces and shows a vertical line. All can be remedied by editing.

2. Despite my being logged in indefinitely it's asking me to log in every time I return to the forum.

Thanks for all the work.

ian

Ian,

What browser are you using?  Is it Safari?  It could be related to the browser you are using...if you can, try Firefox or Internet Explorer (not sure if that works on Mac) or Netscape...see if it is related to the browser you are using.  It's possible the new software is using some new javascript code that your browser is having trouble handling.

Hi Ian,

My mac via Safari is working too.
Perhaps it's your IrishZenEnglish accent?
;)
