Any idea what is wrong with her computer?
Maybe some of us can help diagnose the problem.
Kinda hard with out it right in front of us though...

Sometimes things of that nature are an 'easy fix'.

I always suggest a clean re-format every 6 months or at least every year.
It is amazing how 'fast' you computer becomes again after doing that.
They get bogged down in the Registry with garbage from many programs.
Even ones you UnInstall leave behind their 'stuff' inside the registry.

I should donate some of my older computers. They are just collecting dust.
They are not real good for any newer type programs but, they are still good enough for surfing the net, email, etc.

I do not know her situation.  I am assuming she doesn't 'need' more then a simple machine to do writing, email, internet, and maybe some movies & music.
Other words she isn't 'needing' a high end gaming /entertainment box like some of us want.
There are a world of deals for around $300.00 that would fit in that catagory.

For those whose machines are choking over something Microsoft, a useful cure is often to install Linux.  I suggest Ubuntu because its free. A disk can generally be obtained from https://shipit.ubuntu.com/ or from various other sites as well. The major advantage is that it won't crash and is generally virus free.

Tell your machine to get well soon, Juditha!
