Title: Road Block
Post by Kroan on Apr 2nd, 2007 at 3:42am
Lately i've been falling asleep every time I try to have my obe's. Even if i'm sitting down in a chair i seem to fall asleep. I feel like ive hit some kinda roadblock in my advancment and I dont know why. I feel like i'm at a point where I need a teacher or someone to help guide me through this stage of spiritual infancy. I've become very frustrated.

Hi Kroan.  You're not alone in having that problem.  A bit ago I started clicking out a bunch.  Lately I've been falling asleep once in a while when I try to do some of Bruce's or TMI exercises.  Partly I think it's because I'm tired when it happens.  Hopefully someone will have some helpful suggestions. - Rob

Well yes, the first rule is to close out tiredness. Get enough nightsleep. For example, I like to sleep 10 hours at night, that's a lot and not easy to get sometimes. Then, sometime in the middle of the day, you will very likely become tired, so get a nap then and meditate later. Also, have two hours or more between a heavy meal and your meditation. Maybe even eat a little less meat, fish, fat, proteines (all the good things...). Be sure you drink enough water. Sugar in my experience will wake you up a bit, but only briefly, and then it gets even worse. Coffee or tea might work, if you become not too nervous from it. Well, then there are means like to keep your forearms lifted, so when you would fall asleep, you would wake up from your arms falling down. Or try some energizing method, I suggest you check out Robert Bruces NEW, I have tried it, and it seems to work very effectively. It is also possible that you have body/energy rhythms, so that it would get better on itself in some weeks or so.

Spooky
