I traveled from Cambridge ont  Canada to St johns Nl where I went to a home where my mother inlaw was.I heard the doctor saying I am giving you something to calm you down I heard my Morther say,George whats in that box over there I said what box/I found myself outside,and went to a Funeral home where i saw her in a Casket,she had her hands in a praying mode but no prayer beads on them There was a large croud of people inside.I walked outside med 2 nunes  coming toward me.I asked them if they were going inside,theydid not hear me.I then found myself back in my body.When We having something to eat i told my wife her mother was dead she said what are you talking about.I told her she was going to get a phone call this morning.The phone rang at 10 oclock.she heard some body say we have bad news.your motherdied last night.she dropped the phone and looked at me.she said you are a wifch.George

I think you may have started a good thread idea here George.

Being examples of people's verifications of out-of-body and related experience.

I recall back in the early to mid '80s many of what I think of as my preliminary out-of-body experiences had physical plane verifications. In later years the verification came more in the nature of the content itself and its usefulness and application to life. Looking back I can see that at that time that young man could probably not accept or comprehend other verifications than physically evidential ones.   

One such experience in the early 80s was awaking in an observant but wilfully passive state above the roof, then floating like a balloon above tree tops along a dirt road and seeing a pile of volcanic rocks emitting vibrating coloured auras with shades of mainly reds. The rocks and their auras seemed to be alive. Next morning I went up the road and there were the pile of rocks exactly as I saw them while out-of-body, except now they had no auras. They were just a pile of brown rocks.

It fuelled in me intrigue and wonder, which are most powerful motivators and primers.

Ooh, PS.  Here is another one, just one hour ago. Someone I knew well and who died several years ago just came to me and gave me a missing piece of information about his life which I didn't know before. A confession. Now I see he carried an awful secret weight. And I see that his life events, his behaviour and demeanour all make sense to me now. It has moved my heart as I feel the heavy secret that he carried for so many years, that even stayed with him past the grave. He asked me to forgive him. So with all power of my heart,  "Of course I forgive. I understand and I forgive. I relieve you of that burden, it is gone. Thank you for all you did for me and ...... And thank you for coming to me. I understand, I forgive, I love you. Thank you. Be free and light."


Our hearts have such power to relieve, to dissolve burdens. And we should not hold back that power from anyone, but be prepared to give it and give it always. Although I sometimes forget or when in emotional upset may neglect, I come back and do it after. Better late than never. 

I can see I have changed in the thirty years since physical verifications mattered. Now the power of the heart and what it can do is my verification.

This is a personal verification of the meaning of a puzzling  non - physical experience.  23 or so years ago I intentionally went obe. At the time my intention was just to make my non - physical senses as acute as possible. That was what I was doing as I stood before my physical body. I noticed a kneeling figure facing outwards from the feet of my physical form. It was alert, small, looking slightly misshapen. "What's your name?" It seemed surprised I was noticing it. It struggled to find a way to communicate. "Demon" it said. The impression was that was what it had been called by others...not really it's name. I laughed and said "That's what they all say" I was making a joke. There was a yellow light shining out of it's mouth. I kissed it gently on the lips. It said something to me that remains a puzzle to this day... When I posted the experience here many moons ago ( hoping someone could tell me what it was) almost every response told me to be scared. "But it was completely loyal to me. 'Demon' just means Spirit." I was again cautioned to be afraid.  I had to say "No!" to the fear based responses...10 years later I'm looking in a book of Egyptian mythology (I work in a bookstore) and I see the exact image of the little Being I had seen. His name is Bes. A protector of children, pregnant women, musicians & fools. His function is to protect the physical body as the soul travels at night. Now, I have no connection to Egyptian work. It's not part of any of my practices. But there was the image of my friend in a book of Egyptian mythology.... I'm glad I said no to the responses I got. I needed to find my own answer. Even if it came 10 years later. I am grateful to have such a Spirit looking out for me and grateful to finally find out who he is.... for y'all; just a story.
