Had an interesting encounter with a ghost today while working on my yacht. Over the years, have seen a number of ghost’s hanging around the marina.
This is one of the big disadvantages of being psychic at times. Not all the time thank goodness !!! The end of land and the ocean seems to attract them.
Especially on very cold days.

Most of the time, I do not have problems with ghost’s even though I am from the old school...” The best way to handle a ghost, is to out-run it “ :–) I try to keep them blocked out because because they can get pesky along with their friends later on.

A consistent one is an old man sitting at the tiller of his boat. He died on it many years ago. When I asked his daughter about it, she said that you are the 2nd person who has seen my father on it. She keeps it in the marina even though it is run down. He said that was his happy place, and spent a lot of time on it.

Dead people seem attracted to me. I have to block them out. A few beers makes it easier. On many occasions, they will try to bust in while I am concentrating on a project. I have to ask them to leave because I am not comfortable with them around me.

Today was a doozy ! As I was down below tracing some electrical wires, heard heavy foot steps on my boat at the same time, the lights dimmed. It also got dark and a little cool. Stepped out to see who it was. Nobody there even though their energy was strong. Heavy set old man. Asked him to leave. No energy response. Maybe he is gone.

As soon as I cranked up the sander, felt a strong energy behind me, knew he was annoyed by the sound of the sander. Told him to get out and leave me alone. He did not budge. Went back to my sanding hoping the noise would drive him away. The minute I turned my back to him and turned the sander on, he yelled out loud HEY !! It startled me and pissed me off at the same time.

Knew he did not like the sound of the sander. I said that’s it, turned the sander off told him that I was going to block him out with these beers, and please stay off of my yacht, you are not welcomed here.
He just stood there and glared at me. I sat down enjoying a cold one and felt myself mellowing out. As this happened felt sorry for my burst of anger. He was finally starting to fade out thanks to the beer.

I plan on spending many of my summer nights sleeping aboard Desire. Need to find a way to keep them off of my yacht while I am there. “Capt’n Bob”  :-)

I realize that ghosts can produce/manipulate electrical energy, but how do they replicate heavy footsteps?

Can they move physical objects?  If so how?  Wouldn't their ethereal hands go right through the object?

Nothing like a few beers to deal with ghosts.  Wonder what a double martini would do??

I like Havana Club Ron, or Bacardi Gold.
But Vodka is usually softer and smoother.

I don't drink that to block the spirits out. I guess I'm fortunate to be not that sensitive for that matter.

Have you tried burning incense to keep them out?

That's a funny story....it sounds like you were both equally annoyed with each other. But I wouldn't want someone bothering me while I was working either. It could cause an accident. Then again, so could too many beers... What kind of vision do you have, in terms of how you see the spirit? Is it like someone is right there in front of you, or is it like an "impression" in your mind? If the lights were flickering and the fellow actually tried to interrupt your work the anger you felt is understandable.

Good Question:  Even though I cannot see them with my physical eyes. I can pick-up on their  energy in detail as if I was seeing them physically which would include their personality and current state of mind.      

The ones hanging around the marina are usually kindred souls that do a pretty good job of leaving me alone. ( Old sea salts )  Sometimes I get  a few kibitzers from the other side that will offer their advice while I am restoring my yacht.

Sometimes I will follow their advice.    You communicate with them telepathically.     For them, the marina is a happy place.   Have also seen a few folks in OBE walking around the marina once in awhile.

Perhaps some of those OBEs are apparent; an outreach of awareness from an individual elsewhere. You know, something like what you're doing, but projecting the sensory part while reading it from where they are. 
But who knows why someone would have you and your marina on their radar.
Some might be dreamers of course, sleeping and daydreamers too. Plenty of those around marinas.

How do you (personally) differentiate OBE from ghost? Did you ever try a retrieval on one of the ghosts?

There have been a number of times where I heard a spirit enter my house and then I could both hear and feel it move towards me. Some make noises as if they are physical. There has also been a few times when I felt a spirit touch me, as if it is physical. I can't say for sure how they are able to this. I could come up with a theory or two, but don't feel like doing so now.  :)

The wierdest of all of the above is when I feel them move towards me, and then feel them next to me. The main reason this feels wierd is because I feel like bi-location while fully conscious (where the spirit is as it moves, and where I am).

I never tried the beer drinking approach. I've found that sending them love helps.
