Last night I awoke from a beautiful dream. I was at my childhood home, but there was a scene there which was utterly unfamiliar to me. Just beyond the back fence, where there used to be a vast undeveloped field of vegetation, there was instead a huge perfectly still perfectly blue lake. In the distance I could see tall crystal mountains coming up from the water, tall not wide, smoother than craggy, but with a natural shape.

The day was splendid, clear. I don't remember seeing any sun in the sky, but it was a gorgeous day. What held my attention was the robin's egg blue of the lake, so wide and symmetrical and peaceful to the view.

I was initially behind the low fence, then seemed to be examining the area outside the fence and noting how very close the water was, then somehow pulled myself up onto a deck which I didn't see earlier. There, on a platform, with a made for pleasure viewing area, were seated a group of people in a U shape, open to the front, and all were enjoying the scenery. It was a cozy and warm feeling inside, and expansive and beautiful outside.

Somehow I realized again that the house was there, and that my mother was off in one of the rooms. She was peacefully putting up her hair, or something like that. There was no need to say anything, to do anything.

It was home, but a different sort of home than I had ever imagined.

As it happens, I have not been to my childhood home for many many years. My mother now lives not far from a lake, but not a lake such as this, pristine, surrounded by crystal mountains.

The mountains were a smoky white color, light colored.

I woke up feeling so refreshed by the vision, and glad that I had been there, and hoping to return sometime. What a great place to be.

It reminds me of another dream I had, a few years ago, I guess, in which a gorgeous swimming pool was featured in the back yard of my childhood home, one which was impossibly huge and nice and enjoyable for everyone. But, this was so much more peaceful, more natural, just lovely.

Last night there was a different place. This was a huge building, cavernous. I was only briefly there, as I can remember. It was a kind of "hall of knowledge", I think.

I found myself walking from one side of a gigantic room, so tall that I had no impression of a ceiling. There was no furniture that I saw, except that there was a large group of people in the center of the room. Perhaps their attention was fixed on one wall of this room, which was entirely of glass.

I looked to my left through the glass and saw an immense statue, and I knew that this person was someone wise and venerable. There was a sense of grass growing around the statue, an outdoor setting. My feeling was that these people's attention was on this figure.

I needed to get across the room, and hesitated because I did not want to block the view, to disturb anyone's concentration, but there seemed to be no choice.

I looked down at myself and realized I was wearing a robe of some kind, with many folds, and that it covered me from neck to foot, except for my arms. In my hands I was carrying something.

I began to move across the room, through the spacious area between these people and the immense window. My footsteps were skipping, skating, practically dancing across the floor, which was smooth.

As I reached the other side of the room I looked down into my hands and realized that I was carrying a spiral shell, a large one, golden-brown in color. It felt good in my hands.

At some point later, I was having a conversation with a woman. She was explaining that nothing was more important than the education she was going to receive. That there was nothing, absolutely nothing, more important...that any sacrifice would be worth receiving this knowledge, so that she could make a difference, so that she could nudge only a very small iota of experience in a certain direction...that it would be worth it...that it was a huge blessing.

I was humbled by her dedication, and I understood what she was saying. I could see a kind of map of the future in front of her, and I could see how large was her dream.

When I awoke I realized that I had been in what is known by some as a "hall of knowledge". This place is so big, so tall that you cannot see the ceiling at all. I felt honored to have been allowed to enter that place, even in a dream.

Really something.

There is a spiritual meaning to high buildings in which you cannot see the ceiling. It means they are connected to a higher sphere. That explanation goes very well with your sense that you were in a "hall of knowledge".
Higher spirits have more knowlegde.

As for the first dream, I sometimes dream of my youth. Things tend to change overtime. At first I was in the house were I grew up but in later dreams the house was disappeared. In later dreams I was standing on the street if I had a connection to the past. Recently I was in a kind of cave with light in it.
The way I explain it is that I have some unpleasent memories of my youth and it seems that my dreams show those memories are fading away to be replaced by other experiences. Some sort of healing process stretched out over a longer period of time.

Every dark aspect of your soul must be brought to light. I have enough to do.

Beautiful dream; if it were my dream I'd think I was visiting higher realms. Cool.
