Alan McDougall died numerous times due to heart block/and came back

On the 18th August 2011 I died numerous times on the resuscitation table due to third stage heart block. I went through the whole drama of my heart stopping, flat lining over and over again, adrenaline, atropine were injected directly into my heart and the shock paddles and chest depressions, used over and over again in a desperate effort to get my heart to beat again on its own.


If I had any doubts about life after death I have none now, each time my heart stopped my soul or consciousness left my body and went into other dimensions of existence. At first

I only remembered a little of what went on in those three hours of life and death struggle but lately have begun to remember more and more about the strange otherworldly realms I saw over the period of three hours. Each time they got my heart to beat I came back.

I saw numerous people all gathered to welcome me into the afterlife, all my beloved were there. It seemed like a welcome home party but as soon as the doctors got my heart to beat I was drawn back to the earthly world.

Another time I saw a tree with a lot of books situated around it. Reading what was on the covers I saw that they contained all the knowledge and mysteries of existence.

One very large book seem to consolidate what was in all the smaller books but when I tried to lift it was too heavy to carry and I decided to return later for it

II saw a beautiful pulsating orb of golden light that I took for the Lord Jesus as it emanated perfect peace and love. I had no tunnel and meeting of a being of light I think because I was continually being resuscitated by the medical team

After three hours the doctors installed a temporary pacemaker to maintain my pulse between 65/110  beats per/minute instead of the 5 to zero it had been beating/not beating most of the time on the resuscitation table. I was told by the doctor that I had been “really really dead”

The doctor said if I had arrived hospital even five minutes later it would have been impossible to revive me.I am 71 years of age now and would not have minded if I had died then , but I suppose there must be some things left for me to do, because a whole lot of favorable coincidences made it possible for me to survive


I had taken nap on that Thurday night and a dear friend of mine phoned late at night, a thing he had never done before, I woke up with heart going crazy almost stopping, my wife immediately called the for the ambulanced and they got to my home in seven minuted flat, the hospital is less than a half killometer from my home and I was there in five minutes and went under attention immediately.

Note if my friend did not phone me at the exact moment he did, I would never have woken up and died in my sleep

I now have a permanent pacemaker in my chest which should last ten years and despite the great shock I am felling very alive and well

Note; the medical term for what happened to me is Complete AV heart block

   It's good to hear from you again. I think your last post before now was on October 11, 2011. I would like to experience a near death experience also as I'm not afraid of anything. I would want to come back before dying of course. Probably the closest I could get safely though would be an out of body experience (oobe). Still trying and patiently waiting on that adventure.

I went to the tree (Was it the tree of knowledge?) and saw one big heavy book forty nine smaller books


In the very beginning of my efforts before I  created again in this cycle there were just MIND, MOMENT AND EXISTENCE I AM ALL OF THESE

I picked up the heavy book that lay by the tree and looked at its title and saw just Existence as its title

I opened the first quickly read:- (I also noted and knew somehow that there were 49 smaller books lying by the tree?)

These are the numbers of existence and creation

Written on the first page of the big heave book were symbols that I could somehow comprehend and convert to English

Whatever exists must have a cause or reason of its existence; it being absolutely impossible for anything to produce itself, or to be the cause of its own existence, either go on in tracing an infinite succession, without any ultimate cause at all, or must at last have recourse to some ultimate cause, this is who I AM.

The meaning of existence is formulated in the mind of God

I am experimenting with existence and it is an ongoing effort of creation and destruction by entropy, but where I exist there is no time only moment thus entropy has no effect in my domain

I have not caused existence in vain and vanity. Every existent is infinitely meaningful, displaying a creation by my infinite knowledge, will and power. Each is directed to a particular aim. Each, whether its term is short or long, is a 'sign' pointing to you and you humanity are one result of the cause and ongoing creation of all things. There was never nothingness or an absence of everything I always was

My comment

I am remembering other events now like being in a dark cavern and seeing a dark entity and the Golden Orb driving it back

I will return with more later as I plug my memory again, remember each time my heart stopped I went into other strange dimensions. According to the doctor 3 minutes were the longest my heart was not beating but for me those three minutes were a lifetime spent in other strange dimensions.

I would like to welcome back Alan.   

Also, it is interesting to note that many patients do not have a NDE despite being revived.  I do not take this as a sign of anything as memory is a tricky thing and some of us will remember when revived better than others.

Hi Doc a lot of the memories come back later because a whole lot of informatcondensedndenced into the brief times I was back, time is different over there, wherever there might be, it seems to go much faster

Looking up what those numbers might mean I came accross the folowing link, I am not a number theorist but have a back ground in physics
