Title: The Void
Post by Outsidecreative on Feb 1st, 2012 at 9:36pm
Hi guys,

just wondering what people know of 'the void'.

During a few dream / lucid dream OBE conversions/ phase shifts i've stretched into the void unintentionally. I'm a point of consciouness, moving / falling/ through blackness.

With the last one the other night, i lost focus and just 'opened' my eyes (there seemed to be not a 'waking up") and my body was buzzing madly.

any thoughts?

Sounds exactly like Focus 21, the "3-D Blackness."  It's quite a pleasant place when you get used to it, but stumbling on it by accident can be a little unnerving.

I usually find myself in the void immediately after shifting consciousness from my physical body, and after a short amount of time will enter a more sensually stimulating nonphysical dimension such as the astral.  It seems to be experienced most during dimensional transitions.

Thanks Outofbodydude and Eric.

Yes, it does a have good feeling, i kinda get excited and feel 'free' if you know what i mean.

the last time it happened i mentally 'opened my eyes' and saw very distant twinkles of light.

Next time i'll have to focus on them head in that direction.

I once was laying in bed, between sleep and wake. Eventually, I became aware that I not only was falling into a total blackness, but as well I was not hearing anything, you know not only normal silence, but absolutely nothing! But in the same moment I became aware of this, it ended.

This was NOT Focus 21 / the 3-D-Blackness. It resembles much more to what some Zen-meditators (but not only) talk about, it has to do with the let go of the "I".

I can reach this state when I don't think; but only sometimes, and just for a few seconds. Once, when it lasted a few seconds more, I (well, it wasn't really "I" anymore) found when there is no thinking anymore, there is something which is at the same time similar, and absolutely different to thinking. Not really describable. But it was there.

There are some "places" or "Focus Levels" which are non-visual, non-boundaryial, non-thing-like, but they are still not like the state I talked about above; the difference is the identification with something, for example that one is a "point of awareness". This is already quite far out, because as a point, you're still there but at the same time nothing, while there is a state where this centeredness isn't there anymore.

Spooky
