Title: R.E.M. Knows Me Inside Out
Post by Beau on Nov 1st, 2011 at 10:45am
Here are my feelings on Jesus and the world view put rather perfectly by someone else.

I can't say that I love Jesus
That would be a hollow claim
He did make some observations
And I'm quoting them today
"Judge not lest ye be judged"
What a beautiful refrain
The studio audience disagrees
Have his lambs all gone astray?

(chorus)
Call me a leper
Call me a leper
Call me a leper

"You are lost and disillusioned!"
What an awful thing to say
I know this show doesn't flatter
It means nothing to me
I thought I might help them understand
But what an ugly thing to see
"I am not an animal"
Subtitled under the screen

(repeat chorus)

When I tried to tell my story
They cut me off to take a break
I sat silent 5 commercials
I had nothing left to say
The talk show host was index-carded
All organized and blank
The other guests were scared and hardened
What a sad parade

What a sad parade

(repeat chorus)

And is what the whole thing looks and sounds like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_c_Yg8azAi0&ob=av2e

I like a good amount of R.E.M songs, and I was a bit saddened to hear that they broke up.   It was interesting to hear Michael Stipe speak on their song, "This One Goes Out to the One I Loved (Fire)"

I respect his honesty, because he mentions how that song was inspired by the fact that he hadn't fallen in love with others, but was in relationships for ego centered reasons, like the other people were temporary distractions (referenced in the song, for example, "A simple prop, to occupy my time...).

He has always struck me as kind of a depressed person.  Selfish people are always depressed and unhappy people.

When you consistently attune to PUL, you start to become a more and more consistently joyous person, and your awareness and perception opens up, becomes more clear and accurate.

We teach what we are and where we are at.  And Like ever attracts and begets Like.

Unfortunately, it seems that most "Christians" are not attracted to Jesus per se, but to the Churchs or belief systems built up around him, which are distorted and limited versions or reflections of him.  Or in vibrational parlance, much slower vibratory than him.

But it's also disheartening that it seems that so many non Christians can't seem to separate the two.   They also aren't attracted to or aware about the real Jesus, which was pure PUL type Love incarnate.

Again, like attracts and begets like, and the more a person really  consistently attunes to PUL within, the more they will be attracted to and really understand Jesus, because PUL attracts, perceives, and begets PUL.

Hard words, maybe even judgmental on my part (too much purple in me, not enough White or Gold yet), but true.  Most realize this truth only in the nonphysical dimensions, wherein a more clear and accurate awareness of him is more widespread.

Remember Monroe's 1st book, and that mighty force and consciousness that sometimes would sweep through whatever focus level or dimension Monroe was in at the time?   Remember the huge degree of respect and reverence that all in those dimensions would show to the one that Monroe wondered and asked aloud about, "Is this the Son of God?"

Monroe was very correct in his question.

But i have a more personal question for you, what did you feel when I was booted from T.C.'s forum?

I was sorry to see that happen, Justin. I have no issues with you personally and I think that forum is pretty cliquish in some ways. I've made a few good friends there and I've met Tom and he seems to be the genuine article to me.

I guess you got booted primarily because you were trying to introduce what they consider a belief system..and yes it could be said that the ToeHeads have a belief system too. Especially if you stay on there long enough. Tom is very clear about the nature of his model of reality it seems like Jesus was a man to him, no more or less than you or I, just pretty enlightened and when you place him on the highest pedestal it doesn't really go with MBT.

Michael Stipe is one of the least depressed people I know. He lives his life to the fullest and he works hard everyday to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate. We all get depressed sometimes and anyone who says they don't is just an out and out liar.  Unless of course you don't get depressed ;) To me Michael and really the whole band are an enigma of amazing creativity and their music fills me with joy everyday because I know there are others who think like me. I'd hardly say coming forward and being honest about his relationships was egotistical. It was a man taking stock of his life and rectifying it. That's my two cents on both count, Justin. Thanks for replying to my thread!

You're probably right about M.S., i can't really say as i don't know him, but I do remember him talking about dealing with depression and in any case, i was more referencing to the earlier version of him.  And no, I didn't mean to say that i think he is egotistical.  I think there is a difference between normal selfishness and being egotistical.

I use to experience really deep, suicidal depression Beau.  It was for four main reasons;  my body was really imbalanced & toxic, i was an overly self centered person (not PUL attuned enough), i experienced a lot of deep, painful, testing challenges throughout my childhood, and I was being influenced by unfriendly outer forces (i was unconscious to this at the time though) .  I still sometimes experience brief, temporary sadness or frustration. I'm definitely not "enLightened".

One thing I really respect about R.E.M. is how much charity stuff they have done.  And i agree, it's a pretty creative band.  Like i said, i like a good portion of their music, though I don't agree with all messages contained therein.

Regarding T.C.'s forum, it's interesting that you see it that way.   I think the total time i was there, i maybe mentioned the name Yeshua/Jesus maybe just a total of 3 or so times.  It was definitely not a focus of mine there, like it sometimes becomes here (and here, i'm often responding to other peoples mentioning of him, like on this thread for example).

Actually, i was trying to get some there to see that it was limiting to turn M.B.T. into a belief system.  It really seems that some there have turned it into their own bible of sorts. The first big red flag about that forum is that one has to discuss only MBT and related info--imagine if we were only allowed to discuss just Bruce Moen's work and related info here?    Tom is a great source of information, and as far as I can tell, the huge majority of his info is more or less accurate and helpful (that's rare for me to say about spiritual/consciousness sources).

But, he is not "enLightened" either, and always the better and more effective way is to get info from within and attuning to the most expanded and PUL attuned guidance one can. I often mentioned the importance of this, and outlined good methods of doing so.

In any case, the issue there is not T.C., but his moderator.  I have nothing personal against him, but he is forcing "low entropy there" by constantly squashing so much different views, ideas, etc and people that don't "fit in" with the clique.  That forum would probably work a lot better, and be much more alive and vital, if it had a peer moderator system like this one does.  It's not perfect by any means, but no system is, and especially not where the majority of power is in the hands of one person.

In any case, the past is the past, but i was curious about what you felt.

quick ps, i think/feel i was being overly judgmental in my first reply on this thread.  I've thought about erasing it, but hey, i have a dark side and it's ok.  I will just try better in the future.

Thank you Beau for helping me to grow, and for having patience with me.

I appreciate you loving me and putting up with my shortcomings too Justin. Yes, Ted can be tedious sometimes. I get a lot out of the board on the whole but its no different than anywhere else. There's still a toehead belief system in spite of themselves. You may have a very valid point about forcing low entropy. I have considered that too. Gotta go to work but I look forward to our next convo!

PS: Justin. " A simple prop" is code for Public Relations, Opie. That's my nickname in this game of life. I'm Opie Taylor and Andy Taylor is wrestling with the demise of Elvis. They are not dead merely in hiding until the time is right to walk the earth in publick again. My own personal take you understand.

And I will say this too, PUL is love, thats it. Call it what you want to but if you place one kind of love on a pedistal you are missing the point. Sex is love, too. Love is desire and the great joke on humanity is that the church (shh you are shh) has played that game to enslave mankind since it began. If you sit at home and masturbate 8 hours a day,  but you get your work done and you are good to people you are evolving. You are working out your demons in your own way virtually which is how it should be. This world is virtual. It is a rehearsal for selecting those who are going to see the stars some day soon. The Enterprise (innerprize) is not a place for people who think they know something. It's for the people who know how to evolve into something greater, not better or worse, just greater.
