Title: Intuition maybe?
Post by Andy B on Aug 21st, 2011 at 3:56pm
Hi all,

Just a couple of things that have happened to me which I think are interesting.

A few weeks ago at work, I'm a welder at a construction equipment company and I make the shovel for the front of a big machine. The arms for this shovel I have to load up with a magnet on a crane, this one time I was putting it in place when I felt wary of it, normally I stand next to it and put it in place, but this time I stood well back and next thing it dropped right by my feet. If it had hit my legs it would have broken them no problem.

The second one was yesterday,

My car is in for repairs as someone reversed into it and made a mess of it. I have been given a 2010 BMW 3 Series to use until I get mine back. I mention the car as it's worth about £28000 so is quite expensive. Anyway, I took it out for a run to see what it could do, at high speed I got the urge to look at the bonnet, I couldn't see it from my driving position so I had to purposely sit up to see it, I looked up at it and it was bouncing up and down frantically  :D.

I pulled into a layby and it hadn't been pushed down properly on one side hence why it was moving. The consequences of this could have been massive, the bill for repair for me not to mention that a bonnet coming off could have hit another car and seriously damaged it and/or injured or killed the occupants.

Has anyone else had this before?

Andy

Andy,
I have had my hood (bonnet) come open while driving, and you are right, it is a catastrophe. Regrettably, I have no examples of life-saving intuition to share.

All this guy stuff...sounds important and dangerous!  Thanks Bardo for clarifying what a bonnet is.   :)

Andy, I think this is excellent demonstration of you listening to your own Guidance.  I couldn't agree more that this is exactly what intuition is and how it works in our lives.  You noticing it, listening to it, and acknowledging it is the key to opening it up and developing it further.

:)

Congratulations Andy,

on acting on these impulses! You are on quite a path of opening up these inner worlds with your inner sight.

The 'path' isn't linnear, in that some skills will develop slowly and then some unrelated perceptions may pop up and surprise you  ;) It's all good and all presented by your Higher Self for you.

Good going!
Betson

Bardo,

I have had it happen to me before but at relatively low speed, it still wrecked the bonnet and windscreen (windshield)  :) though. That was a BMW too  ;D.

Vicky,

Sorry for my English  :). It didn't cross my mind that things are named differently outside my country. As for things being dangerous, I know what you're saying but as for work, there is danger in every job. If I worked in a shop, I could get involved in a robbery there and get shot, that's my take on it anyway. I'm not even going to go there where drivings concerned. Thanks again for your input.

Betson,

This kind of thing has happened before on a number of occasions but I never listened to it and bad things did happen, nothing much though, just the odd injury. The one at work though was very strong and I couldn't really ignore it, whether this is because I'm more open now or because it was a very dangerous situation, I don't know.

Thanks for your reply.

Andy

My opinion is that you are more open because each experience opens you up more.  But also, we are able to receive best where our attention is most focused.  I think it's like an open channel.  The information is there, and we're focused in the same area, so it becomes easy and natural for picking up on it.  Some people just call this a gut instinct, but the more you listen to it, it changes and develops and you can have more complex experiences that go beyond that.

Sometimes I feel like when I give my advice on this kind of stuff, I may sound like I'm just dishing out pats on the back, but I speak from my own real experience.  I have been working my you-know-what-off trying to develop my own "abilities" and I see the real progress I'm making.  Trying to find a way to encourage and teach others is even harder, but I hope in my own down-to-earth way I can do that.  I really do believe in this stuff and teach it to my kids.  And when they follow my advice and get excited about the results, I just love it.

Great topic...thanks for bringing it up.

:)

For a while there, I was feeling closer to my guidance, and sensing it with me more and more. Lately, though, the pace of my life has picked up, and I have found it harder to settle down and listen to my inner voice. It has never made itself obvious to me, as it has to you Andy, or you Vicky. I have to admit that after the earthquake yesterday (I live about 120 miles from the epicenter), and the upcoming hurricane (I live in the center of the probable path), I was wondering a bit about the coming changes. My guidance is telling me to move inland, and higher above sea level!

Hi Bardo, wow you were pretty close to it yesterday.  I'm in Colorado but not far enough south to have felt our 3 earthquakes that happened about 12 hours before the one in Virginia.  But my brother lives in Virginia 40 miles from the epicenter and works 20 miles from it...we were both amazed that we both had earthquakes that close to each other that they are saying had nothing to do with each other.  It does make you wonder what's going on!!

On the phone yesterday my brother said, "Well I better go and clean up from the earthquake so I can get ready for the hurrincane that's coming this weekend."   :)

I think it would be neat to be one of those people who can feel things like that coming.  Whether it's psychic, guided, or just some innate biological sense, some people can "predict" when things like earthquakes are coming.  My dad once heard a horrendous noise coming but didn't know what it was.  He panicked, and we just looked at him like he was nuts.  Then about 5 minutes later a massive hail storm hit with baseball size hail.  Of course, animals can always sense these things too.
