Title: hallucinations? Or a true spirit?
Post by jdee190 on Jun 28th, 2011 at 7:07pm
Hello, my grandad died in November 2009, he was a fantastic man and a husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa (grandad).

3 or 4 weeks ago, my grandma was in her house herself, reading the paper and felt something touching her arm and she looked up to see a white spirit like figure and it was my grandad standing in front of her, he was wearing the shirt he always used to wear, he then turned and walked into the kitchen and disappeared. My grandma said there was a weird smell in the house when this happened.

My grandma has been very sad and down ever since grandad passed away, but she is now at peace after seeing him.

However, i am a skeptic with things like this and struggle to believe it, i also have a severe fear of death, i want there to be an afterlife.... i wish grandad would appear to me to cure my fear of death :-[

Hello Jdee:

I've had lots of contact with spirits, and there have been a few occasions when I could feel them touch me just as if a physical person had done so.

I too have felt the spirit touch when my about 2 hours after my dad died. I felt him poke me in the back with his big hands, just like he did when I was a kid. He's out there.

Hi Jdee,

No offence intended but how do you come to the conclusion that your gran was hallucinating so easily?

You're assuming she was and as the old saying goes, "assuming makes an ass out of both of us" it's true.

You have no evidence for what she saw so I'm guessing that's why you don't believe it, you also don't have any evidence that it was an hallucination either. Your logic is flawed in my opinion.

Also, did you know that a lot of so called sceptics don't know the meaning of the word they describe themselves as?

Well they think they know but they misinterpret it to suit themselves. I'm a true sceptic as I look at EVERYTHING with an open mind, not what best suits my beliefs. This does indeed include my own experiences.

I'm also logical in my thinking and problem solving, which is why I'm certain that there is an afterlife as I have gone over everything that has happened with a fine tooth comb so to speak and there was no other explanation for these things happening.

Like I said, no offence and it's your choice in what you believe. The best advice I can give you is to start believing in yourself more, I get the impression that you don't for some reason.

Thanks,

Andy

hi Jdee   the reason your grandad came to your grandmother and showed himself to her,was to help her to find peace and to give her his love and energy,he picked up her thoughts and also watched her not copeing so he's put things right for your grandmother.

i know you have only got my word for it, but beleive me,the spirit world exists and when its your time oneday to pass to spirit, your loving family who have passed will be there to help you cross over, you never cross over alone.

i have seen my dad's spirit,my grandmothers spirit,my aunt and many spirits every night in my bedroom, when they are in my room, the love emanating from them is beautiful.

i know you probably think Jdee that i can tell you anything but beleive me i wouldnt be writing to you ,if i didn't beleive in what i'm saying.

love and god bless   love juditha

Thanks everyone. I suffer from anxiety and depression which makes me look at everything with the worst outlook, maybe that is my problem.

I have read that everything is controlled by the brain and when it dies, thats it over. I hate that outlook on life.

Why are we homo sapiens so special? We could easily become extinct, a comet could hit earth and humans would be gone? Would people just stop going to the spirit world? It just seems more logical for everyone to cease to exist, it is really ruining my life

Hi Jdee,

Once you can understand that Consciousness is fundamental to all other experience you will ease your mind greatly. Read and watch youtube lectures. Some people sound kind of ZANY if you haven't been used to doing such things. Read up on people who refute the afterlife but make sure to read up on the people who refute those people. Try not to get locked into a belief system just because it is "accepted" by many people as fact or as proof. You have to be your own investigator. Even if you never have an OBE or an NDE you can experience feelings from a place that is definitely non physical.

Here is an example of big minds thinking they know everything or that you couldn't possibly know anything. Cholesterol...People go on the craziest low fat diets to avoid eating saturated fats and continue to eat sugar and grains and THOSE are the foods that actually cause your blood sugar and cholesterol numbers to rise because as we get older our ability to metabolize those products goes away since we were never really designed to eat them in the first place. If you listen to medicine you will take dangerous statins to lower your cholesterol. Sure a statin will make the numbers go down but at what cost?

That's just a small rant about taking the word of someone who has no experience with the what is really going on. It's everywhere. If you would like some books to read I will gladly provide you with some of the ones I've found most beneficial.

And homo sapiens sapiens are not special. Every being is sentient to some extent and has a consciousness. Some people believe that a dogs consciousness is less developed that a humans, but I say Phooey on that. Consciousness is consciousness. It is the restrictions of the physical brain that make other animals seem less consciously developed than we are. Just my take but I didn't come about it easily. I had to look for the answers and I was just as open mostly to the idea that there was no afterlife. In my experience the evidence points to there absolutely being one.

I'm here on this board for a couple of years now, and I've read a lot of posts telling about similar things your grandma experienced. From people who don't make one dime in posting here. This is simply too much to be mere fantasy.

If the earth explodes, well, there are many places in many dimensions. This doesn't mean you shouldn't make the best of your life, where you are right now. When you go to the afterlife, and all you can state is "it's all so sad, bad, senseless" then there are good chances you get what you state, so I recommend imagine just for yourself a world you can love, a place you would like to be. This then will be your ticket for a better place once your time has come to leave this world.

Hey Spooky, what do you think of this movement? http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ I find that idea extremely probable when we reach financial collapse. The cities are nice too. It kind of reminds me of F27 as it has been described to me by others here and in the Moen and Monroe books. I think it would be a place to strive for.

Jdee,

I forgot to mention when I say I'm certain that there is an afterlife, I do have my doubts from time to time. Doubts are good though, they have helped me to become certain. This probably doesn't make sense to you though lol.

The main issue with you struggling to comprehend the afterlife is no experience at a guess. Before this happened with my son I had zero interest in this subject, I didn't think it was silly, I just wasn't bothered.

I'd seen 2 spirits before this too, one was verified by the previous occupants of the house I was living in. I still took no interest though. You could say that they were hallucinations but that brings up more questions.

Why doesn't it happen more often?

Why before seeing one did I feel someone watching me from behind? When I turned around there it was.

Why would I hallucinate a ghost?

You could argue that I'm seeing what I want to see, but why can't I do it now? No matter how hard I try?

Why haven't I seen my son? You have no idea what I would give to see him again.

When I have no money why can't I hallucinate a bank account with millions in it to make me feel better?

Or when I have a crappy car, why can't I hallucinate a Porsche to make me feel better?

This is why I think the hallucination thing is BS, although it's not as black and white as I've said but you get the general point I'm making.

Nothing beats experiencing something for yourself, I can talk to someone who's been skydiving but I won't be able to understand what it's like until I do it for myself.

I could tell you what happened on the night of my sons passing, it was the worst thing that has ever happened to me, you might think "that's pretty bad" but you will never comprehend it until you go through the same thing yourself, I hope you don't, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

I hope you can see the point in me posting all of this and you might be able to understand why your gran feels at peace after seeing what she saw but you can't get the same feeling as her.

Also, I have lost people before my son, one was my father 10 years ago. I haven't had any kind of communication with anyone other than my son, although I believe that one of the spirits was my father but I'm not certain, I think this is because my son was and still is the closest I've ever felt to someone. I wasn't that close to my father or the other relatives. You might not have been as close to your grandfather as you thought you were, whereas your gran would've been.

Anyway I hope this helps,

Andy
