Title: How much Retrieval Training?
Post by PauliEffectt on Apr 30th, 2011 at 4:01pm
How much Retrieval Training do we need to do?

The question arises from the idea I've seen on some places that we do retrievals in our sleep, while dreaming I guess.

So do we need to learn to do retrievals and for how long?

Reason I ask is that I wanted to learn some other things, but seem to get some retrievals instead, or situations that feels like retrievals. I can do them if they are meaningful, but if I can do retrievals in sleep, I'm not sure I want to use my waking hours to that.

Does anyone have an idea how necessary it is to do retrievals while awake?

Hi

It seems like we can more directly learn from awake retrievals. Retrievals done while awake can leave a memory that in time, or immediately, will have more obvious personal significance.

It seems like we get what we need.  If you are getting retrievals while not sleeping, despite clearly stating that you don't consider them important*, then it seems like they will proove significant for you personally, eventually.

* I mean important enough to be taking so much of your available time/energy

There are no other problems with doing retrievals from dreams?

For example with "Spirit Gravity" energy? Could we have too little Earth like energy to get the attention from discarnates stuck in F 23 close to the physical, while we dream?

This is something i've wondered about myself.

I've had so many dream remembrances of retrievals that i haven't been over drawn to practicing them while awake.

Unlike Bruce, i'm definitely not an engineer type, and am closer to the spectrum of artistic, creative, imaginative type, whose tended to not question quite as much certain activities and beliefs.

So i didn't feel i really needed the verification of waking retrievals.  But i definitely see merit in the conscious practice as it hones and fine tunes ones nonphysical sensing and translating.  I could use some more practice for this reason.

I figure the help to others is pretty equal whether one is asleep or awake in the long run though.

p.s., some of my dream remembrances of retrievals have been pretty intense, and from these i figure that i work in some pretty intensely lacking in light areas of consciousness e.g. the hells that Bruce has mentioned.

I'm not sure i would like to do these kinds of retrievals while conscious.  In the dreams i feel more spiritually intune, loving, and more emotionally detached than i usually do while physically awake.

One example, i was aware that i was in a pretty lacking in light dimension and i saw a strange looking, sort of deformed, very ugly little humanoid like looking creature.  Despite the form and the negative vibes of this being, i felt a lot of love towards it and i wrapped it in a cocoon of Golden Light (i myself was of and radiated this golden light), pouring this Golden Light into this being, and cradling it/hugging it almost like it was a hurt, little child.

The consciousness said something like, "I wish i had the beautiful golden Light that you have."  I replied back, "You can, you just have to choose and live like i do.  Eventually you will be like me."

In the dream i was more emotionally detached, but upon waking i was more emotionally affected by the whole thing, particularly the emotional suffering and self dislike of that consciousness.  So, in these cases at least, i would prefer to not consciously do them since our conscious, human selves are so much more emotionally attuned than the other levels of self.

Hi Paulieffectt, I don't believe that there is a minimum amount of retrieval training to pass the grade, so to speak. Doing just one, even poorly, changes things for someone, perhaps even yourself. Awake, asleep,..aren't they just phases of phasing? I feel awake while I am sleeping sometimes.(most nights for at least some periods) I would think that if your aware enough to know your doing a retrieval while your "asleep" your doing just fine. Go with the flow.
