Title: Soundtrack Post by Bardo on Apr 28th, 2011 at 10:11am
Lately, I have been waking up every day with a different song running through my mind. Not a song that I just heard, or one I had been thinking about recently, but a seemingly random song from deep in the archives. Yesterday, I had "the talk" with my young son (you know the one, birds, bees etc). It was getting to be time to do it, as he is about to start a "family Life" class at school and they were going to tell him all that, and I didn't want him to hear it from anyone but me. Sorry, I digress. The point is, that I chose that moment to have the discussion with him seemingly at random. It actually surprised both of us (him more than me as you can imagine), and more suprisingly yet, I noticed right after we had had the talk, that the song that I was running through my head, and had been all morning, was "Leader of the Band" by Dan Fogleberg. If you know the song, you know that it is a story about a son and his father, and the things that he teaches his son, and how he does it. It occured to me, rather forcefully, that this was guidance telling me to talk with Jack now, and showing me how best to do it. Anyone else had similar experiences?

I've kinda had similar experiences with songs. I notice that if my thoughts shift to wondering or feeling something, it can bring a song into my head whose lyrics are about what I'm feeling. That's not exactly like what you are describing though is it? It sounds like you're attributing a song you thought of all morning as leading and preparing you for an important moment with your son.
This is a little bit off the subject, but speaking of songs, I remember when my ex and I were dating, and one day spending the day together I had "Glow Worm" in my head all day and I kept singing it. Since it's an older song and you don't hear it around usually, it was indeed odd that it was stuck in my head. It was driving him crazy and he finally told me to knock it off. I told him I was sorry, but I couldn't help singing it since it was literally playing in my head. Well it came lunch time and we were trying to find a place to eat. We found a Brick Oven Beanery, never been there before, and walked in. Guess what was playing inside? Yep. He just looked at me and said, "Did you set this up? You planned this didn't you?" Consequently, the restaurant was closed unbeknownst to us, and we were met by an employee who was surprised that we even came in. I guess we were so focused on lunch that we didn't even see all the signs. I chalked it up to fate bringing us there, I don't know why though. Maybe just so I could finally get relief from the song. After that, it wasn't stuck in my head anymore. :) |

Vicky,
Yes its very similar. The time when it seems important for me to listen is first thing in the morning, because I have not had an opportunity to "program" myself by hearing anything else or having specific reference thoughts. And lately the songs that I hear are really coming from deep in the archives, not things that I am hearing elsewhere at all. Its just very interesting. In your case, I think you have a good bit of the psychic in you, so it could be even more pertinent to what happens. In my case it just feels like a nudge from guidance. |

Bardo, Most def.! songs can be a form of guidance or confirmation. Its happened to me several times. The first time it happened it was guidance from a song on the radio that kept playing no matter what time I got into my car heading to the hospital to visit my grandmother. Finally, I listen to the words and it was a counrty song "Holes in the floor of heaven" . Its about a boy whos grandmother dies on his birthday. Yep, you guessed it, a month later, my grandmother died on my birthday.
I also hear songs ehterically. Not in my head but like I tap into the radio waves. COol stuff! |

I have had this experience a couple of times, but not anytime recently. It was quite interesting and cool that it seemed like i was really hearing the song, almost as if i was physically listening to it. I imagine that really gifted musicians like Mozart and Bach were really more so intuitives, who sometimes just downloaded music from other dimensions, and could really "hear" it in its entirety from the get go and their job was to transcribe it more than anything. Though of course, probably some other level of self had been working on the music in the nonphysical before hand and/or searching for music from more pure Light attuned realms. |
