Title: nonverbal communication w/cat Post by b2 on Jan 12th, 2011 at 8:16am
Last night I had the 'first ever' (that I remember) realization of nonverbal communication in a dream. I was having a typical confusing dream about family members, centered around a house I supposedly was living/staying in. Suddenly, as I was attempting to 'settle in' for the 'night' in my dream, in 'my' room, two cats burst into the room. They were my long lost, beloved cats from years ago, Casey and Lana. They leaped 'on top' of me as I was on the floor (?). I recognized them and thought they were 'strays' in this dreamworld. I wanted to feed them and give them water, and went through the typical 'Three Stooges' scenario with family trying to fulfill my wishes in the dream. They ended up with human food that wasn't cut up, and an odd assortment of containers which weren't really suitable for water. I was trying to feed Casey, my beautiful, tiny black shorthair who lived here for 20 years, when 'it' happened. She communicated mind to mind:
"I don't want that." Of course she didn't want some ridiculous, too large piece of 'human' food. I demanded that my dream 'sister' get me a can of food. I was going to take care of these cats if it was the last thing I ever did. When I woke up I was delighted. Because I had a very clear memory of noticing Casey's mouth, which seemed to be in an 'o' shape, and it was much too small for what I was feeding her. But I was left with a clear memory of her 'speaking' to me, with her mind. I have read over and over again that this is the way folks talk to us in the afterlife, and often in our dreamworld, but this was my first actual moment of 'awareness' while it was happening. I would truly like to escape from these silly, annoying kinds of dreams where random obstacles are placed in my path by others actions or 'contrariness' into a dreamworld in which I can do more interesting things, controlling my own actions. But, it requires that I become more lucid in the dreamworld. Perhaps one must become equally lucid in one's 'realtime' life to achieve that, something on which I am presently working. Thanks for listening. Always a pleasure to read you and also to report my own experiences and thoughts here. love, b2 |

you have alot of cool dreams b2! This does seem like one of those instantces that can be classified as a "visitation" form the other side.
You say I would truly like to escape from these silly, annoying kinds of dreams not me! I love the randomness of some dreams because we can gain great guidance from them and its a gauge as to where I am on my journey in realife. embrace it! A lot of people don't even remember their dreams, which you don't have any problem with! ;D |
