I don't know why, but some of you have been featured in my dreams lately. At least, I remember a few. In particular, I remember a sequence last night in which we were inhaling the fragrance of roses. We were talking about it, and pointing out how we could experience these senses while in our alternate reality, our dreamworld. Some of you are featured there, and also some from my day to day world. Although I have had a few 'nightmares' lately, which I attribute to recovery from a difficult few years, as well as the successful introduction of an anti-depressant to my daily regimen (six months now), it is pleasant to wake from memories of being with group members here. I have found that an anti-depressant and antihistamine have released me from the desire to smoke or drink anymore, as well as from other unhealthy inclinations, for which I am grateful. It is much more peaceful this way. So, perhaps you have been invited to 'smell the roses' with me, out of my gratitude, and my desire to bring happiness into all areas of my life, no matter where they might be located. I thank you for your presence, and your company along my journey.

The roses appeared in 'realtime' yesterday as I was leaving a meeting. A profusion of early roses on the bushes startled me. I picked one, very small, and shared it with an acquaintance, who was delighted. It had a beautiful perfume, very sweet and delicious. I thought, how odd. Much later, I noticed that a few narcissus were also in bloom, amid the freezing temperatures here. Lovely.
