Do you really believe that something catastrophically is going to happen come the year 2012?

To be honest, no, I do not believe that.

I don't believe in believing that, Alan.... :) What we believe is truly important to our well-being, so positive thoughts and realistic movement toward that future seems best, at least from my perspective. It all reminds me of when I was a little kid, and we told each other scary stories to entertain ourselves. I remember some kind of awful story about a severed limb, and the refrain was "Thump, Drag.....Thump, Drag....." and it was something about it climbing the stairs by itself, or something equally disgusting. So, I see it as a big fairytale of the scary sort... :)

most of the hoo-haa about 2012 is the end of the Mayan calendar slated to be on 21st December 2012 (2 years hence from the time of writing this).
However, Carl Johann Calleman, who's made a real study of all of this maintains that the actual end of the calendar is August 28th 2011.
So if you're an 'armageddon' believer, you've got less time than you think!  :-/
I believe from what other writers have commented on this (some on this forum) that at that point the future is not written in stone as it might have been over the last x thousand years, and from this point we'll be making it up as we go along?
Of course it could be that 2012 is the year when everything turns around and we all start making this planet and the entire ELS better!  :D

I think we’re going through tremendous changes.  The next few years might bring more change than some may think they want.  We already have much going on and probably always have; maybe more quickly now.  So, I think 2012 may bring to each individual what they expect or believe it will bring.

Why wait? Now there is a "Christian" movement that claims, based on "close reading of the Bible", that the rapture begins on May 21 of 2011!

not to disrespect anyone, but I'd rather read my horoscope than do a 'close reading' of the Bible...besides, there are thousands of times in my life I either thought it was or it should be the end of the world, and much to my dismay it never was...life goes on, and so we might as well make it a good one

I think there will be a catastrophe in 2012 just as there is every year of our existence SOMEWHERE and it will be given credence by some as proof of the "mayan" prophecy.

   No, but certainly some interesting changes in the works, but not necessarily scheduled for the specific year of 2012. 

    I  have a feeling that it's quite probable that the really big one is finally going to hit the San Andreas fault in 2011, and in turn this is going to sky rocket food prices in the U.S. and will generally weaken the U.S. economy. 

  To the point where it's going to be very difficult to "get by" for a lot of people in this country.   Our plummeting economy will have an affect on the rest of the world as well, but it will be most dramatic here. 

  But materially speaking, this will be a piece of cake, for non West coast folks at least, compared to a couple or few years from now when it's very probable that the Sun will go super active.

  Like so active it will knock down electrical grids all around the world and the climate will become very extreme. 

  Some of this is based on various dreams my wife and i have had, some based on mediation stuff, and some intuition. 

  I do not label these changes as "bad", "negative", or the like, but rather see them as growth spurts which involve some temporary collective pain, but much spiritual growth and speeding up of collective maturity levels. 

  I'm not "scared" of these either.  Truth be told, it's what i primarily came in for (that and wrapping up the loose ends of attuning perfectly to PUL), and i welcome these various changes because i know what they will be helping to foster and spark and that type of collective maturity, happiness, PUL attunement, and spiritual health i deeply desire for this world.

  The way things are now is not working to foster and spark the above enough.   

  If material ease and comfort is what you most care about and seek, then you're really not on a "spiritual path" and are as blind in a blinded world. 

  The truth tends to hurt (when you've been wrapped up in illusions for so long), and what's coming is really just us finally facing the truth more collectively and deeply.   Finally becoming more honest and real. 

  But it's no "end of the world" event or scenario.  Just an end of unloving, imbalanced, and illusion filled ways of living in the collective sense. 

  It's getting closer and closer, can't you feel it? 

hi my sister deanna watched a documemtary the other night and she told me about it,this documentary was about the date 21st december 2012,these scientists were saying that the worry is the sun,the solar flares  that night will be extreme and if they hit the earth,which these scientist think will happen.

Then we are all in trouble as the planet will be full of fire,massive earth quakes,massive tidal waves,catastrophic disaster,what are your thoughts on this.

    I don't claim to know the exact timing of these changes, but i would say it's probable that nothing catastrophic is going to happen on that exact day (at least that is my intuition so far).

  I see this more as a period type developement, with varying waves of intensity over time. 

  Not all at once on one day and that's it.

  Also, to some extent, exactly when and what we experience is determined by our collective choices--even more so how we are affected by these changes is up to us and our choice. 

  If, for example, the US & it's allies continues to war with other countries out of greed, fear, and control issues, and attacks other countries (thinking particularly of Iran and the like), then i see this country & it's allies getting ripped apart by the changes.

  When we output destructive energies and patterns, that is what we attract and experience in turn. 

  As far as the rest of the world, again it depends to some extent.  The Solar upheavals and heats will affect everyone in the world, but some worse than others.  Some countries are not as dependent on technology and electricity, and so that will be their saving grace, and some "3rd world" countries will fare much better than some so called 1st world, developed nations. 

  It's partly about getting back to the basics--both materially and spiritually.  We will have to learn how to treat Mother Earth with respect and consideration, and we will also have to learn how to treat each other in a much more cooperative, unity, and positive minded kind of way, and generally learn how to live in a more balanced kind of way. 

  Part of the reason for the changes to begin with, is because there has been too little of either of the above in the world for too long, and eventually we as both individuals and as a collective, reap what we sow.  A wake up call. 

  Though our history doesn't remember, there have been many of these wake up calls over many long turns of cycles.  There is nothing new under the Sun.  Many of those who have aspect of selves highlighted in their currently focused on life, who have experienced these upheavals in long cycles past, would prefer not to think about these kinds of changes at all, or go to the opposite and dwell too much on them. 

  Rather, be aware of them without fear (for there is nothing to fear if you truly know and believe that you are more than the physical), but do not dwell on them over much either.  It's important to live your life one day at a time to a large extent.

I live on the West Coast so if Justin is right, I should probably think about moving. Anyway I do agree though that we are going to have to start treating the earth better than we are at some point, although I don't believe there will be anything seriously catastrophic in 2012.

  Hi David, please, please, please do not make such a major life change based on what i, or anyone else for that matter, says about something...especially when it's about the future, and when they, like i, say it's more just a feeling than anything (no overt, obvious, and repeating guidance messages). 

  It would be most helpful to directly seek info about this from within, and make any changes based on that.

Hello Justin. Thanks for the reply and the concern. My post was partially motivated by humor, though I guess that may have been hard to tell. Maybe an emoticon may have helped  :D lol. I'm definitely looking inside myself for answers, though since I just graduated college and still live with my father, maybe moving out might not be such a bad idea once I can make enough to set out on my own.

Well, one good thing if the world really does end in 2012- we won't have to worry any longer about an invasion of reptilian aliens.

In fact, if the reptilians were smart, they would invade right now.  Otherwise there might not be anything left worth invading.

Recently I was in touch with my spirit guidance, and I suddenly found myself on what seemed to be an alien planet. I don't believe I was on an actual alien planet, rather, my guidance created what seemed to be one in order to make a symbolic point.

There was an astronaut from the planet Earth on this alien planet. He opened a closet-size box and this big (about the size of a van), dense, black, cloud-like being came out and attacked him. I could feel the strength and darkness of this cloud-like being.

I'm not certain what was being communicated to me, but I wonder if the beings known as Reptilians are actually reptile like beings, or is that just how they appear to people on some occasions. Going by what some people say, Reptilians sometimes manifest in an astral-like way rather than a physical way. I believe these two levels of being aren't as separate from each other as people sometimes think. Therefore, it could be possible that some beings are able to manifest both ways.

Since I last posted on this forum about messages I received about unfriendly alien beings, I've received a few more. They seemed to make the point that such beings exist and they are already involved with this world.

Regarding floods, nothing new, just the same three dreams and one waking experience where I seemed to receive information about floods. For example, when I was in contact with my guidance and suddenly I found myself on these huge waves of the Pacific Ocean and they were headed towards the California coast. Next, I found myself on the coast and saw what seemed to be solar flares shooting towards the ground.

I believe I should trust the messages I receive about unfriendly aliens and earth changes because I usually receive them when I know I am in contact with a friendly being. They come in a way where I know that I'm not creating them.

I find myself between a rock and a hard place because on the one hand I want to move to a place such as the western part of Virginia so I can continues to help with retrievals etc., but on the other hand I feel responsible for my parents who live about 130 miles away from me (in California).


P.S. Even though there are a number of questionable sources that speak about aliens and Earth changes, I have found that there are some that seem to be trustworthy.

  Regarding the message about the black cloud and your wondering whether or not "reptilians" are a true form of a particular E.T. group, well i've wondered similar in the past and while i think that is possible that it's more an interpreation of their energies, i've come to believe that this particular group is much like us--they have both a rather physical and nonphysical component to them.

  Physicality, dense form when it comes to our consciousnesses is partially a result of getting stuck spiritually (speaking in the broad and collective sense, not necessarily true for some individuals are primarily retrievers). 

  The group known as the Reptilians surely are stuck spiritually, and no doubt have built up and gotten stuck in physical to some extent. 

  I don't think they are as quite as limited materially as many humans in this cycle are though.  They seem to be more consciously psychic, and travel more consciously in a nonphysical sense.  They can better manipulate what Monroe called the M band field than many of us in human form. 

  Btw, Becky recently had quite an interesting dream dealing with unfriendly E.T. influences.  She didn't get a specific group or what not, because she only interacted with them through a observing-communicating machine they had sent and telepathically.  I can send it to you sometime if you would like?
