Title: Yellow Submarine
Post by DocM on Dec 7th, 2010 at 12:46pm
Ok, so just prior to waking, I had a dream in which I, and others, including my older sister were in a dwelling, sitting on some couches, when I started singing the Beatles "Yellow Submarine" and I think everyone joined in.  I remember complimenting myself at saying how I sounded just like Ringo Starr, and as I woke, it was like a radio was playing "We all live in a yellow submarine, yellow submarine, a yellow submarine....."

Several times, I wake up to music from a dream, almost as if I have an internal musical alarm clark going.  But I haven't had a Karyoke session quite like this one.

It seems that whatever else we do in dreams, we can have sing a longs as well....

It was interesting now that I hear think about it, because I just learned that my sister spoke with my wife about getting me some Beatle CDs for the holidays just last week.

That's a neat experience, Doc, the kind that causes me to pause for a moment as well. I have been annoyed recently that I can't remember much of my dreams, but this morning I awoke with a very vivid impression of recognizing a friend in my dream. It was strange because it was someone I hadn't seen in many years. I remember that, in my dream, I looked and looked into her face, thinking, you look familiar, who are you. I looked at her for a longer time than would be 'polite' in our everyday society, until I recognized her and said, Helen! It's you, isn't it! I was delighted. I can still see her face, plain as day (although a pretty woman), and it would make sense that her appearance would be a bit different after the 10-15 years it's been since I've seen her, when I ran into her by accident. It's the vividness that remains for me, as a sign that perhaps this 'sighting' might have some importance to me, for whatever reason.

We all live in a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine....

:)

Are you a big Beatles fan Matthew?  Particularly Ringo?

I sometimes dream of music I've never heard in waking life before and when I wake up I wish I could write it or play it.  But of course I can't, and then I forget it altogether.
