hi i am in a relationship with david,who is jewish,the other day when we went to a friend's house,whose mother is german ,but his father is engish, to do singing,his mothers sister and her husband were staying there as they are both german,anyway the german lady waked up to david,got hold of his hand and said"i am so sorry for what hitler did to your people in the gas chambers"  david just looked at her,i don't think he knew what to say.

Being German, I find it rather sad that people feel bad about Hitler`s atrocities just because they are German (unless this lady personally had something to do with this)

it distracts from the fact that this is a problem of humanity sometimes being terrible

and gives others an easy way out ("it was the Germans") instead of thinking truly about how to keep things like this from happening again ("how can we humans avoid this?")

I agree I'm english and my country hardly has a glowing historical record either ( credited with inventing the large-scale concentration camp in the Boer War).... its a humanity not a national issue.

england tried to take on the world, and realised they werent up to the job. so, they just pretend they won any way.ive never met such an arrogant bunch of people in my life.
