Title: Ganzfeld Effect and the Afterlife
Post by Rebecca on Jan 17th, 2010 at 8:39pm
Has anyone heard of the "ganzfeld effect?"  If so, how does it compare to phasing and possibly making contact with the afterlife?  I have read some instances of people making and using ganzfeld goggles and "seeing" deceased relatives.  But seriously...this sounds too easy.  Your thoughts?

Once I get settled into our new home, I'm going to try this.  We're in the middle of a cross-country move, so it may be a couple weeks.  I'll let you know about my experiences though.

Rebecca,

I read how to make homemade goggles by cutting a ping pong ball in half and coloring the two portions with a yellow, pink or blue marker, but I don't know if I am supposed to color the inside and outside of each half ball or just the outside or just the inside ...any thoughts? I guess I could get more than one ball and experiment.

Yours,
Beau

Rebecca,

The ganzfeld effect can be thought of as a way to randomize one's visual field.  This can improve the possibility of perceiving something.

Maybe that is all any of the modes you named can do, sort of provide an environment in which we might do something and have an enhanced opportunity to perceive an effect.

The thing about contact with those who exist beyond physical reality, our afterlife or other places, is that it is so easy the hardest thing to do is believe we are doing it.  So often we are so certain we know what it will be like to make that contact that we throw away real contact events when they happen because we don't recognize them.  I did that for a long time before I caught on.
