hi i watched this program on the tv about this country and they showed little kittens crying in cages on the market being sold for meat and this fellow who was from this country said that the his people will eat anything with four legs except a table and chairs,i hope god heard him say that and also that hes made to feel there pain and i hope he comes back as a defenceless kitten being sold for meat,i dont know how they can do this,its utter cruelty,brings me to tears. :'(

then i watched this documentary about this other country and what do i see,alsation dogs with chains around there legs and cruely being pulled by them to be killed for meat and these alsations were screaming,i couldnt watch anymore,it really upset me,why do they have to kill cats and dogs for meat in these countries,surely they have enough food without causeing defenceless animals terror and fear,we dont kill dogs and cats in our countrie, god did not place them here for this cruel inhumane treatment,i would say that this makes god angry and sad. :'(

i know it made me feel angry and sad,if there was a bit more love in this world for animals and each other,the world would be a better place to live on,but sad thing is, it never happens,the only good thing for these animals is that they end up in the spirit world with our loving god and they are safe at last.

dear father god please surround all animals in this cruel world at times,with your protection of love and light  and your healings rays that they may enter their painful fearful little souls.

Its ugly Juditha. Humans will eat anything. Horses are very common in Europe aren't they still? We don't eat them here in Canada. Well not many of us although I would bet there is a black market for the meat. There are some countries that will eat almost any kind of meat. From bugs to monkeys. Some even eat people. Although cannibalism is all but done now. Meat eating is an argument had on this site a number of times. Whether its proper or not. Whether plants "feel" as animals do. During an exercise at TMI I was lucky enough to connect to what is the "All", and found all living things are connected, aware, and alive. None of a lower value than the next in the eyes of God. There is no doubt that we are more able to connect with the emotions and pain of animals easier than plants, so many tend to value their lives over that of plants. Its not necessarily correct. I believe we should place equal value upon all life forms. Plants sacrifice their lives for another all the time. Give thanks for the sacrifice of any living thing we injest for our survival. Is it less of a sacrifice? As far as dog and cat go...I don't eat my friends and pets. I know in China they have been eating dogs for hundreds and hundreds of years. And what of when we have a better connection with those who are not of this planet, or do not exist the same way as we do. How are we to relate to them? Will we look upon them as a food source, or them upon us as one.

   I agree with both of you very much. I am an animal lover and couldn't eat or harm any animal whatsoever. All animals are God's creatures and humans should set a good example by stopping hunting and meat consumption.

   I agree. I wouldn't even eat plants if I didn't have to in order to survive. I've had meditations in the past where I felt like I had communication with trees and other plant life and I apologize to them when I have to clip tree branches or pull up weeds. They are creatures of the Deva kingdom and deserve respect as well as animals do.

I love animals to, but I do have to admit, I am a burger man. I believe both plants and animals should be held in the same esteem. Thanks given for/to both.

As I recall, Jesus fed fish to his flocks.

Here in suburban Virginia, we need to control the exploding deer population.  Too many people are being injured and killed as they try to avoid them on the roads.

Controlled hunts are one of the ways of doing that.  Yes, Bambi is cute, but not so much when you crash your car into a phone pole or a ditch.

My wife and I both hunt and donate the excess to local food banks.

After all, there are a lot of homeless, hungry human beings these days.  They need to eat too.  And venison is very healthy.  Much more so than burgers.
