[Angels Come To Life

This Clark Kent used to so afraid to fly
He'd let you punch him right in the eye
Lived a life knowing you by your smile
I would recognize everyone of you by your eyes

My Angels are teaching me to fly
I've held off a long time
I thought I could die one time
Now I know I'm Superman
In my own majestic mind

I'm ready to play with the Angels right here upon the earth
They kept it hidden like we agreed
I know what it is to be human even though
My process may have been so slow
Today I am freed from this hilarious costume

Let me fly in your mind and I will protect the universe
Cause we are the Just Is League of it all
Angels come to life, Angels make it right
Remember who you are and play, play the music we wrote together
When we were younger and all agreed on our play

I know who I am
We are protected from your crypt of night
The Angels of Mercy watch over the boss
Just like they watch over me
Jodie likes the game, but it's his party at the end of the daze
That's  where you really find the craze
Let's eat drink and be Merry for the next thousand years
Let's take this spaceship on a real voyage by releasing our fears

Let me fly in your mind and OUI  will protect the universe
Cause we are the Just Is League of it all
Angels come to life, Angels make it right

For Time is just an illusion you see

   Nice piece of poetry. Someday I'll try my hand at poetry too. It's a nice break from the world of logic that I indulge in. I like the Superman part. I used to have dreams where I was just like Superman in them with all his powers except the x-ray eyes and laser beams shooting out of them.

   I have to disagree with part of your poem though. I do not consider time as an illusion. I believe that time and space exist as a reality, but only in the physical dimension that we are currently occupying. I don't agree with Buddhism when they say this world is maya and just an illusion. Actually, I believe that is is but one part of the total reality that God has created consisting of many dimensions, inluding that which makes up the afterlife, which is the greater reality of all realities.

I was speaking of the bigger picture there Ralph. Of Course time exists as we understand it. Perhaps my words are confusing. I don't think time exists for Angels. that was the point I was trying to make.

   I guess I just have a problem with certain words, like illusion. Maybe my thinking of maya or illusion as not real is an improper way of interpreting the meaning. I should probably think of it being something not what it appears to be, yet still real in a different way then the accepted norm.

As Campbell says we are interpreting information. Everything is information so if we agree on certain information then one could apply the word real to it but it would still be a metaphor in the long run. I tend to agree with him on that. It's as real as a body made up of tiny moving atoms and molecules and what not.
