This thread is intended to provide assistance to Conversation Board members who wish to use their own photo or image in their profile.

We will use "ImageShack" for the instructions, because it's free and fairly straightforward:

1.  Have your picture saved on your computer.
2.  Sign up, and login at http://imageshack.us
3.  Follow the ImageShack instructions to "Upload Image".
4.  Choose re-size for "avatar" (the smallest one) .
5.  Click the Upload button.
6.  Click the "Share It" link next to your image.
7.  You will see several links.  Copy the link that says "Direct" next to it.
8.  Sign into the Afterlife Knowledge Conversation Board - click "User CP".
9.  Click the "Profile" tab and then the "Options" link.
10. In the "Personalized Text" field you will see " http:// ".  Paste your link into this field.  There should now be a check mark in the box next to it.
11. Click the "Save Changes" button.

Your picture should now appear next to all your posts.  If anyone is having problems following these steps, or if the steps need updating, feel free to post a message here and either myself or another member should be able to help you.
