Hello everyone. I am a new member and since the passing of some very close family members have had a strong interest in afterlife communication. I have tried and am still involved with EVP and learning meditation techniques.Lately I am getting strong signs from the deceased from voices to actual visions. I am a 48 year old married family man very stable and hold a good job.sometimes the voices get so bad it interferes with my work day. I could really use some advice. please note. some voices come as messages and have some validation but I have a hard time trying to interpret what is being said.  any advice will be very helpful.  thankyou  billyd

You seem to have some talkative relatives !  They are probably exicited that someone they know can hear them, since not many can.

If they are a nuisance with no importance to you, you can (mentally / telepathically) just emphasise to them to stop.

They may not even be your relatives but some other onery spirits. (See 'Chantilly Chopper's' inquiries on this site and the responses/ideas she's received.

Let us know if stronger measures are needed.

Some people, when they desire nonphysical contacts, can get an overload of input. I don't think the EVP is a good method for establishing an contact to specific spirits, as this method, due to it's nature, opens a gate to any spirits who think they got something to say. So I'd say stop the EVP thing. Meditation is good, calming down first, second watch the fleeting thoughts from a distance and then concentrate on the person you want to contact. You may try Bruce Moen's practice book. As well, you can state your intent to have contact, and remember this contact, within your dreams. Many have told they experienced great relief through having vivid, "real" dreams about their passed on friends.

yes, do read my post.  I received some very good advice and suggestions.   Since i am now able to communicate with those who have crossed over it has been a very rewarding experience...except with a little trouble from a pesky spirit who loves to talk.

And today my fiance because I asked him told me what the gender of my best friends  new grandchild was going to be.  And to prove to me it was indeed him, instead of the pesky spirit who can't predict anything, told me I would be getting gas on the right side of the road, and that parked in the front of the store would be a mercedes benz,  it would not be at the gas pump.  So I pulled in, and no mercedes benz, so I said, ok, this is not Scott because I see no mercedes benz...and he said patience, just wait.  And sure enought a minute later as I was getting ready to pull out, a mercedes benz was there, right where he said it was going to be.   Again, this is just one of the ways he lets me know its him, because he tells what I am going to see before I see it.   And that my friends, is not coming from a pre-recorded lifes happening.
