Title: Meeting someone during a lucid dream Post by Rebecca on Jul 16th, 2009 at 8:30pm
Has anyone tried to meet with a partner during a lucid dream? I'm sure it's possible, just wondering if anyone was successful and if the other person was also aware.
Cheers, Rebecca |

Greetings again,
In host Bruce Moen's terminology, such meetings are called partnered explorations. A whole forum here is dedicated to it -- take a look through that forum's index for a quick sense of what people have experienced. Bets |

Hi Bets...is there no difference between a partnered exploration initiated through lucid dreaming and phasing? I wasn't sure, that's why I posted this on the dream board. I just wanted specific information on lucid dreaming only.
Thanks! |

You're way beyond me, Rebecca :D
I get confused on the difference between phasing and lucid dreaming. Sometimes I 'take off' while awake (phasing?) and sometimes I take off while asleep (lucid dreaming?). Any help in defining the two states will be appreciated! :) Bets |

You got it Bets! Do both ways of "taking off" take you to the same places?

Hi Rebecca,
To my mind they do. :) Lucid dreaming has been much debated here. The site search (above right) only gives you a few of the entries. Spooky and Berserk are two respected thinkers who have posted intersting comments in the past, from totally different viewpoints. I believe/ think that lucid dreams are a doorway to any non-physical reality but may sometimes stop short of the full potential of exploring the non-physical. Does that make sense? Bets |

I think there is no reason why lucid dreams in general should be something different to entering nonphysical realities in other ways, like meditation. For example, I once had a "normal" dream. Things were just happening, and I did not think about it much, as usual in my normal dreams. Then I started thinking about where I was, and how I got there: I suddenly had my full waking-state consciousness, and it was just the same as being in the physical, and at first I thought I had to see a doctor immediately because I obviously have amnesia. Then it turned into a classic OBE where I found myself back in my room where my body slept.
