Title: Verification needed for first retrieval Post by Violet Sky on Jan 11th, 2009 at 9:11am
Hi everyone, the following story is about my first retrieval, I haven’t gone in to too much detail for fear of it being much too long, I suppose the need to tell someone about the story of my first experience is much greater than the need for anyone to actually read it or reply to it, I feel much better writing about it already, posting it and getting it out if my system rather than locking it all up inside, thank you for giving me thisopportunity.
I started reading the Afterlife Knowledge Guidebook about two weeks ago, I found it was very easy to read and I seemed to work through the exercises effortlessly. Even though I hadn’t used any recordings I perceived every feeling quite profoundly especially projecting the feeling of love (I often use this feeling throughout the day to put me in a happy mood at work). I started reading chapter 20 The Retrieval Process, and when it started talking about Helpers I drifted of into one of my imaginary escapades with a wonderful excited feeing inside. At first I two people in high backed chairs sliding on what seemed to be some kind of fairground ride or water shoot over hills down towards a pool, I had seen this before a few days ago which had then extended into someone leaning over a fence or the edge of a boat trying to reach someone who was in the water. I brushed this of again as it seemed so far fetched and silly and also I wasn’t interacting with anyone it was like a dream or watching a movie. (this is important later in the story) So I began again and saw a dragon fly wing, which morphed into a butterfly, I could see the butterfly’s legs which were facing me and wriggling, the legs turned into a full blown hairy spider, this is when I became scared, but I remembered to turn the feeling of fear into the feeling of love. Immediately the spider turned into a pale white hand with a gleaming white long sleeve that was held out for me to shake it, which I did, at this point I felt such happiness and started to smile. The rest of the body then appeared, it turned out to be a short comical looking man, had a long white beard and moustache, bald on top but hair at the side of his head, he had a very long wide gleaming robe that seemed far too large for him, he was more wizard like than Godly or Santa like. He seemed to want to show me that he had a sense of humour, he started dancing and jumping around and was smiling a lot (One of my questions I asked was ‘do they dance in heaven?’), he was moving far in the distance and forward again, there was nothing else in the background just him and it was silent I never heard a word. Oddly enough, I never imagined my guide to look like that, I had always imagined him to be Monk like, short, with a brown robe, moon shaped face and short brown hair, and sometimes I even heard a Jamaican accent in the past, this is why it was ‘unexpected’ and made it more believable. Before the Helper disappeared, he walked passed me pushing a square trolley on Wheels, it had a high back and in it was a large glass like sphere in which it’s surface had a shiny pearl look to it in pinks, white, pale green and silver, it felt like he was trying to show me something but I haven’t worked out what yet. I felt this was a breakthrough, I really wanted to tell someone, but I didn’t really know anyone that would understand, I even closed my eyes for an instant and asked “should I ring…” and I saw someone shaking there head quite vigorously, I realized that anyone I told at that point may have interfered with my belief. I was excited at the thought of the retrieval exercise, I did seem to have two retrievals but they weren’t half as profound as seeing the helper, and I was falling into the ‘Making it all Up’ trap. I followed the helper up some steps, and I was with a little boy, he was playing with something at the edge of the water, my immediate thought was that he had drowned, I talked to him a little about fishing and introduced him to the helper by saying he caught a load of fish and did he want to see him, I really wasn’t convinced by this remark, if I had been a little boy I wouldn’t have wanted to go with a strange man to look at his fish. Then suddenly I was stood in front of a man who was leaning against a wall, I had that feeling he was rather arrogant and rich, he was dressed in old English top hat and tails, (a bit like Mr Darcy in Pride and Prejudice), he angrily told me something to the effect that he had been waiting ages for his horse, then I immediately got the feeling that he had fallen off his horse and been crushed or broken his neck, I talked to him a little about horses and asked him if he liked to hunt, I passed him on to the helper saying “my friend can show you some great hunting ground”. Nothing was clear after this, I saw no more, although I did ask why I was shown these retrievals and I got the feeling that they were chosen for me as they were both set in beautiful countryside which I feel most comfortable in. When I read this back now it seems quite detailed, but it the time I didn’t believe any of it, I basically told myself “What a load of rubbish.” I thought if any of this is real I need verification, I dumped the books on my dressing table and went to bed. I was woken the next morning with a text message, it was from my sister, she is ten years older than me, has a family of three boys, is very busy, has a scientific mind and not easily swayed in her own beliefs, if I mention anything about the afterlife to her she tends to look at me either in fear, disapproval, concern or thinks I’m absolutely crazy, so I tend not to talk to much to her about the subject. The text said “I had a really awful dream last night that I found out that you had died”, I was going to send a short text to her just reassuring that everything would be fine and not to worry, but I decided to ring her instead. She began to explain the dream: she was with me on some kind of fairground ride, riding over hilly terrain… I stopped her there and basically finished off the rest of the dream for her, I explained the pool of water and watching someone leaning over to try in reach someone in the water, my sister told me it was her partner in the water that had died. We continued to describe the colours and the background in detail and we concluded that it was more or less the same. My sister had woken up and fallen back into the same dream but instead of it being her partner that had died it was me, and she felt a deep sadness and relief the next morning that it was a dream, which is when she felt she had to text me. I began to explain about the interpreter probably putting faces she already knew to certain bodies, I said that I had asked for verification, and I explained my retrievals and the boy drowning in the water and it seemed that if she hadn’t dreamed that it was I that had died then she wouldn’t have contacted me and therefore I wouldn’t have had verification that this was all working. I was so happy, of all the people I was to receive verification from the last person I thought it would be would be my sister. We went on to discover other similar thoughts, she dreamed she was in a room with lots of square and oblong objects with someone watching her through a two way mirror, which reminded me when I imagined that I was watching someone bending over writing, playing the piano and drying their hair, my sister then explained that about a week ago when she had finished completing her book for her degree she was able to go upstairs and play her sons keyboard for the first time in years and that when I had called her today she couldn’t hear the phone properly as she was drying her hair. Now I felt I have received divine verification and started to ‘believe’ or even ‘know’ that it’s all real. I would also like to mention that it’s great to have this forum as sometimes you are bursting at the seems to tell someone what has happened but know that there might not be anyone close to you in the physical world that would understand. Thank you so much. |

Thank you!
Violet Sky, You are having no trouble with this at all! You seem to be 'a natural'! Some may be surprised that your conversations with your retrievees were so brief before you handed them over to Helpers. But all that's required is to break into their mood or their 'train of thought' so that their 'vibes' are relaxed, less anxious, if anxiety is their hang-up. You showed them the kind consideration that is calming to someone who is lost. Wonderful -- Thanks for sharing these and I hope many more ! Betson |

You're very welcome.
I think perhaps I was given easy retrievals to start with, I did talk a little more than what has been originally explained here but the main problem I found was that I didn't see anything following the retrievals, once the helper left I saw no more, strangely there have been so many questions to ask the helper and so many places that I wanted to explore that when the time came to ask I couldn't think of any! I think preparation and practice is the key, I haven't even finished the book yet so I hope there are more exciting experiences to come. I do feel I have made an enormous breakthrough though after years of thinking it might not be for me. Thank you for your reply Betson, it's very reassuring. |

I enjoyed reading your post Violet. It's exciting to discover these new things isn't it! And that your sister told you about her dream, it makes one think about our connectedness, and what may all be behind the physical surface. I had similar experiences as you had with your comical helper, glassy spheres and such. Although you might prepare yourself for the fact that you will always have more questions than answers :) .

Yes I have found out that one answer tends to breed ten questions, although I do feel I have broken through one very large barrier and now there is no going back, there seem to be things going on all the time now!
I'm intrigued spooky, what was your experience with the spheres, did you find anything out? VS |

In my experience, spheres like you have described of your wizard-friend, can be what Monroe called "ROTEs", something to exchange informations. You could try this: When your friend comes across again with this sphere, move closer to it, really close until your face (if you feel like you have a face) is touching it and look into the sphere and watch attentively. You might even dive into it with your face. Or, when it's opaque, you might try to open it (maybe just say in your mind "open and show me what I should see" or so).
On other occasions, spheres are gifts, just to show friendship, or to send some specific energy. When someone in a meditation is giving me something, and the surrounding was rather nonphysical shaped, it has always the form of a sphere, never a box or something like that. Spooky |

Thank you, I have read about the 'ROTEs', I guess I didn't imagine them to look so large and solid looking, maybe it is a gift.
I'll try what you suggested, your information is much appreciated, thank you. Violet Sky |
