Title: Bruce's Wikipedia entry in danger Post by etom on Dec 31st, 2008 at 4:29pm
Bad news...looks like Bruce is in imminent danger of having his Wikipedia entry removed due to lack of published independent sources - verification of notability is paramount there. If anyone here is familiar with the workings of said encyclopedia and can cite convincing proof that Bruce is important enough to have a reputation, they've got very little time in which to do so unfortunately...

I can offer my time and research to rework the Wikipedia article for republication. If anyone is interested in working with me on this, please Private Message (PM) me and we can start as a group. It's unfortunate that outside of our community, Bruce's works are treated as extreme. But, then, this is his role, and our role: to get our knowledge to the mainstream. |

Couldn't the Monroe Institute be of some assistance with this? Or is that not considered an independent source? And what do we need to verify exactly? If he was getting 10,000 hits a day would this still be an issue?

Well, I went there and it's gone now, but I read the delete keep log and it seems that the delete agenda won out. But can't it be resubmitted? I guess it's a lot of work to put something like that up there but the Keep logs have some things mentioned in them that I don't think were mentioned in the original article. I don't know anything about putting stuff up on wiki but I guess next time care should be taken to cite everything we can think of.

Has anyone saved a copy of the wiki page as it seems to have been completely deleted on Wikipedia?
Perhaps it could be restored later when more references exists? |
