Title: Bruce Moen - retrieval of Majel Roddenberry? Post by sulla on Dec 19th, 2008 at 11:21am
Majel Rodenberry died just after 12AM on Sept 18th. She will be missed.
Based on some things you've written in your books, I assume you are a Trek fan Mr. Bruce (as am I.) Have you had any thoughts of checking in on her? |

Ooops--- don't you mean December 18th?? If you look at www.roddenberry.com you can find the writeup.
Majel Barrett Roddenberry passed away this morning, December 18, 2008, at 12:27 AM in her Bel Air home. She died peacefully, in her sleep, and was surrounded by family and loved ones. "My mother truly acknowledged and appreciated the fact that Star Trek fans played a vital role in keeping the Roddenberry dream alive for the past 42 years. It was her love for the fans, and their love in return, that kept her going for so long after my father passed away." - Eugene "Rod" Roddenberry, Jr. I loved both her characters as Nurse Chapel then later as #1 when a flash back of the first star trek was shown, and later as Lwaxnana in the new Generation/Deep Space, and of course the computer's voice. I am sure that she had great vision of another parallel in which someday and "time" that all beings will live in peace and harmony. As in John Lennon's sond "we will all live as one". Love and Peace--- Carol Ann |

Yup, thanks. Sorry about that. A lot of events in my life happen(ed) in September. My birthday, my wedding, the birth of my daughter among others. I always seem to have September on my mind when I write/speak about dates.
Yeah, I saw the write up in rodd.com's newsletter. Very sad, but what a wonderful lady. I wish I had gotten the chance to meet her in this life. She attended many Trek cons and treated the fans well. |
