Title: Does age matter?
Post by Inventech5 on Sep 28th, 2008 at 9:26pm
I am only 14 years old, and I was wondering whether or not I am too young to be all of this afterlife knowledge?

I don't think so. It's something of interest for everybody who is thinking about it, who is old enough to realize that there is physical death. I only wouldn't think about it 24/7, you know  :) .

There is not age for gaining knowledge.  Just be sure that this quest help you to develop your consciousness and spirituality,  and not your ego.

I was about your age, a year older than you actually, when I first stumbled upon Monroe's Focus level concept and began consciously leaving my body.  You're actually an excellent age to begin exploring.  You are at an age where your beliefs can be more easily changed and shaped, and where learning comes quicker and easier.

Welcome Inventech 5, Well your most likely as mature as some of us here. ;) Your never to young or to old to be interested in other peoples opinions. If you come across anything you don't understand, never be afraid to ask for clairifacation.  Your bound to find lots of different opinions here. What do you think about the afterlife? .

I'd say no problem, although as ever it's down to the individual.

There's a view that the mind becomes much more rigid past say 40 with which I'd agree, many close down and lock in their beliefs at that stage. Some with the mid life crisis start to explore and open up.

It took me until I was about forty to get over my fixation with conventional worldly success and exterior matters, and get serious about going inwards - not to mention that there's stuff I can see now with the benefit of lots of life experience that I couldn't years ago.

Probably depends on where you are coming into the world too, and on your upbringing - some (unlike me) seem spontaneously to know stuff and to be open, aware and fairly sure of their direction from a very young age...

Greetings,

Our spirits/souls have a different way of ageing. If you are old enough in Earth years to have this interest, and if you can keep your mind also on your earthly life, then you should be fine.

Do you have any specific concerns about your interest that we could help you with?

My daughter is twenty-one now, but she was starting to get into an interest in the afterlife (partly due to living in a very haunted house, I suspect) at twelve or thirteen, so I certainly don't think you're too young.

You are never too young or too old to know what you know.

It is yours, so I say take it.
