Is it possible for two people to be having an OOB at the same time and they return to the wrong bodies?

No. Not even intentionally. If you will notice, you have a thin threadlike cord attached to your energetic body that connects you with your physical body.

Thats correct Thomas.

Not only that, but while out of body, your etheric energy body is still attached to your physical body, with a part of your consciousness still inside, while another part of your consciousness is out exploring in an energetic copy of your main energy body. Only a part of your consciousness leaves, while a part of your consciousness stays. Your physical body is never just an empty shell.

This was discovered by Robert Bruce, but my experience has verified this to a certain degree as well.

Well,

I am not so sure based on my own experiences. Once when returning from a protracted OOBE I found to my horror that I was sharing a body with a person who was in a small room somewhere looking out of a tiny window.

I immediately jerked myself loose and found myself back in my body,

Of course there was no swapping of bodies just this very very brief moment

On another forum a guy asked if anyone would like to swap bodies, claiming he had done that in the past.

There were no takers
