Title: Rhythm, rhyme, and rap of afterlife Post by betson on May 16th, 2008 at 11:21am
Greetings :)
Here's some results from a side quest I have to collect poetry that is inspired by or about the afterlife. This interest developed when I ws first getting beyond the physical and felt that just telling about it didn't express the experience adequately. A recent search of this site found such poetry and links on these following threads. (I know there are more but the magnifying glass just looks through the recent ones.): Forums / Dream Sharing Forum / Re: peacock feather spinning around on: Apr 15th, 2008, 8:25am Afterlife Knowledge / Re: Reincarnation on: May 13th, 2008, 11:39am on: May 13th, 2008, 11:39am / Afterlife Knowledge / after Alan: we'll be together again on: Apr 1st, 2008, 7:00pm Forums / Off Topic Posts / Re: a reading on: Apr 20th, 2008, 10:45am Here's some more, different styles: "Our sun spews souls across its solar sea where they glitter in anonymity Until called upon to form once again in honor of the winds. Once ensconsed again within new worlds' fields They take on forms in harmony with the new planet's form and face. From here we can begin to see the race to sweet Sirius' golden shores.'' by Gus LaGoille Dust of the universe, Alight! Unite your energies, glow brightly, Refind the point of life and fly As blue flame or silver sphere, Mere dot, encased within the humorous. by G L Goille (possibly the same as above) :) If you find or create some more, feel free to add. Bets,

I really like this poem. I have often felt that our beautiful golden long life sun is alive in its own way. All the energy we get comes from this source and I can see why people have worshiped it over history. Sol sings songs to the eternal one across the unimaginable vast dark void of cosmic space, until all of heaven is lit up and joins in perfect harmony and all creation becomes one with in glorious love, light, peace, hope, merging forever in infinite “ONENESS” Hek!! You bring out the poet in me, I hope! Love ALAN |

Poet Alan,
I like it very much!---you even used the same rhythm to start, then let it flow out into more free natural form! Bets PS Gus likes it too! :) |
