Title: Family Gathering
Post by thistle on May 14th, 2008 at 10:10pm
About a month after my mother died I had a dream that my whole family had gathered in a department store.  It was the same family members that used to celebrate holidays together at my mom and dad's house for many years.  Although I didn't see everybody specifically, I knew we were all together.  We were mingling with each other on the side of the checkout stands where you go before you have paid.  Nobody seemed to be showing any particular emotion of sadness or even joy.  We were all just quietly talking to one another.  I looked past the checkout stands and through the big windows at the front of the store.  I saw my mother was standing outside looking in through the windows at the rest of us.  She didn't have any particular emotion on her face either.  She was just watching all of us from the outside.  I felt kind of sad that she was outside by herself.

Greetings Thistle,

It's good to have your posts and comments--welcome!

The Afterlife sometimes requires some adjusting. Maybe your mother is still getting used to being away from the family she loves.  She sounds 'pensive,' thinking so deeply that emotions are deep within and don't show.
Can you send her loving thoughts and mental messages to help her? It may seem like 'just' imagination to do so, but we're learning that those in the afterlife can pick up on what we're saying to them.

Bets

Thank you for the warm welcome Bets.  Thanks for your advice about giving her loving thoughts and mental messages too.  I'm afraid at times I have been angry with her for leaving.  I realize it wasn't her choice but I miss her so much.   :'(

Yes, pensive, that is exactly the look my mom had in that dream.  She has been dead almost two years now.  I still talk to her a lot when I'm alone or with somebody who understands.  My husband doesn't really get it, so I don't do it around him.   ;)    Shortly after her death, for several months I would say, some things would happen that made me think maybe she was paying me a visit.  Things happened to other family members as well.  Is it possible for spirits to be able to give us signs?  Or is it just wishful thinking on our part?

Hello Thistle:

I've analyzed thousands of my own dreams, and found that they often contain messages from our friends/guides in the spirit World.  Going by the symbology I've received, I come up with the following.

The department store = the physical World, materialism
The cash registers = checking out of the physical World and moving on to the World of spirit
Your family's lack of emotion = quite often while in this World people don't find the emotion we really want, which is divine love
The department store window = the barrier between the physical World and the spirit World
Your mother being outside = she is in the World of spirit
Your mother not showing a lot emotion = It is time to stop grieving for your loss and let go of your anger, so your mother can move on with her life of divine love in the World of spirit. You will meet her again when it is your time to move on to the World of spirit.

I think, because you remember that you could see your mother looking into the store, where your family was gathered, that it could possibly be an invitation to communicate further. If it feels right to you to let go, as mentioned above, that might be helpful to you. However, if you are curious, there seems to me to be permission for you to communicate with her, in whatever way is possible, through thoughts or dreams, perhaps.

The window is there for a reason, I believe.

recoverer your analysis of my dream makes a lot of sense.  Now I can clearly see the symbolism in it.  Since my mother was on the other side of the window she was obviously in a different world from the rest of us who were just going on with our lives in a unemotional way.  It was as if we were all tuned out to what really matters which is what you said, divine love.  What could be more material than being in a department store?  Pardon me for parroting back what you said but I'm just trying to digest it all.  I had never really tried to break down each aspect of that dream before.  Wow!  Thanks for your input.  It is really helpful.

Hi Blink,  I hope you are right about my mom perhaps offering an invitation for further communication.  She looked so little standing on the other side of the window.  Little and alone yet not upset by her circumstances.  She had that pensive look that betson mentioned.  It was odd too because I seemed to be the only one that noticed her.  I had mentioned that after her death different things happened around the house that led me to believe that maybe her spirit was here with me from time to time.  Do you think it's possible for our loved ones to interact in the physical world that we live in?

Love,  Thistle

Absolutely, Thistle. Our loved ones are so much closer than we can even imagine. I think they find all kinds of ways to speak to us.

The honeysuckle blooming across the alley before my residence of two years....my grandmother is there. I have felt her, and continue to cling to her memory, and that memory, in particular, of the honeysuckle flowers around her house. When I moved into this new place, it was winter, and the very last thought in my mind was what might bloom from the ground that spring. Little did I know, that I would soon be surrounded by fragrant blossoms of many kinds, trailing over the fence across the way. The trees and the bushes and the trailing vines, full of flowers and color, that I never planted.

It was not an accident, that I found myself in this place. There are no accidents, as far as I can tell.

love, b

Thistle:

Here's another possible interpretation. Perhaps your mother felt sad when she looked at family members in the department store because she felt they were being too materialistic and need to focus on spiritual matters. I don't know your family, so I can't say for certain.

Oh, goodness, recoverer,  I certainly hope that isn't the case!   :-/  I don't think any of us even had any merchandise that we were intending on buying.  I don't know if it matters but the department store was a Kohl's.  While I do shop in that store occasionally, Target is the department store that I frequent the most.  I don't know if any of that makes a difference as far as my dream goes.  And I don't know if this matters but my mother was one of the most optimistic, happy people I have ever met.  I wish in my dream she would have been smiling and waving.

Hi Thistle I got the feeling your mom only showed you her serious face so you would start opening up to the idea that she is making an effort to rend the veil (old fashioned term for making contact)

see, now you are thinking about her more often, this is an opening that occurred in your perception since the dream..she wants you to expect her, and so the very idea of expecting her will cause you to be more receptive to a contact. in time actual conversation, short conversation will occur, I speculate, as I have a friend who's mother passed on and she had the very same type of dream activity as yourself.

it doesn't mean she's unhappy where she's at necessarily, is my main point.

I often dream of malls, shopping areas, and we need these type of symbols in the dream landscape to decipher an area of "exchange."
Happy exploring  :)

Hi LaffingRain,  I must say this dream or visitation, whatever it was, has stuck with me and given me food for thought.  My mother has been dead nearly two years and I had this dream shortly afterwards and I can still remember it vividly.  Other things have happened that have made me wonder.  For instance the evening after she died I was sitting here at my computer when my dog walked up beside my chair.  She started turning slowly in circles while looking up towards the ceiling and growling.  I had to put her outside.  She has never done that before or since.  And a touch lamp in my bedroom turned itself on several times over a period of weeks after she died.  It had never done that before and hasn't done it again for many months.  And it only turned on at night.  Signs from my mother or just coincidences?  I don't know.  But those are only two examples of things that have made me go hmmmmm?  Thanks for your time and input.  Everybody has been so kind and helpful here.  I have never heard of "retrieval" before and am trying to figure out just what it is.  It sounds very interesting but confusing.

Hi Thistle We've got a large retrieval archives set up here; click at the top of the page under small print Retrieval Archive..probably explains the varied retrieval process better than I could.

I do think your mom has been making an effort. lights going on and off is a classic example of spirit contact reported by many.

will share an animal story, these also are numerous examples by posters. My daughter's cat had to be put down recently due to a disease it had. there was another cat in the room. they were great pals.
as the little spirit lite of the cat exited it's body, no one could see it but the other cat.

this was a very touching moment for the 3 people in the room. the white cat had wrapped her paws around the boy cat who was leaving and she was licking and purring furiously as if she didn't want him to go. as the medication took effect she released her hold and her eyes slowly followed the- (to us) invisible spirit upwards to the very top of the ceiling and there she held her gaze, as if frozen in place for a minute or so.

animals can see and hear this other dimension better than us. All those on the other side, like your mom, have this urge to let us know of our spirit bodies living on, plus they love us and are trying to awaken us.  my grandmother became my mother's helper and spiritual aide when she moved on. I photographed her as an orb over my mother's head!

plus things happened when she was around, but mainly during dream language.

pretty neat huh?

LaffingRain that is all so very neat!  Reading about your daughter's cat had me teary-eyed.  It's truly amazing and sad too.   :'(

Yeah, the light in my bedroom going on seemed like a possible sign.  A couple of electronic toys have gone on by themselves a couple of times too.  One actually did it about a month ago.  My husband told me to go make it stop!   ;D Of course I said "Hi" to Mom when I went back to turn it off just in case it was she who turned it on.   ;)

Thank you for pointing out the Retrieval Archive.  I will try to understand it.

OK LaffingRain, I went to the Retrieval Archives and I read the one you wrote called "First time it was real for me."  I have questions but I don't know where I should go to be asking them.  In the Retrieval forum it says it's for retrieval experiences so that didn't seem to be the right place.  I didn't see your archived one there so I couldn't comment on it there either.  But in a nutshell are retrievals done as OBEs or astral projection?  Heck I don't even know if those two are the same thing.  Are they?  And is the object of a retrieval to help a lost soul to find it's way to where it belongs?

Thanks,
Michele

thank you Michele for your reading of my most prominent, or 2nd prominent retrieval and I will respond here because I too get lost in this board where to go...I am so lucky no one has told me to go jump in the river yet! haha!

Others may jump in here if they want, to clarify something, but an OBE and astral projection is one and the same thing to me. and you are correct about the objective of doing retrievals is to assist, not what we call a lost soul, now we are calling them "stuck" souls, because lost souls is old fashioned religious term, no longer applies.
When a soul is stuck, it is to say they are caught up in a depressed state of awareness where that is all they are thinking about and when a retriever comes in, they will get their attention.
Because physical retrievers have a certain vibratory rate which differs slightly from nonphysical spirit retrievers we can be seen by the stuck ones.
most often they are confused and knowing they are still living beings, but have not totally accepted they have left the physical plane of life in a body.

Not every soul gets stuck. Most pass to the other side with the aide of family members who got there before their transition, and so can acclimate the newly departed to designated areas. However, here and there are some souls who have no other family members to assist or in some cases have a belief very dominant that there is no life after death.
and so they may need retrieving, and told that there is life after death in that case.
Nonphysical helpers, retrievers work these areas ceaselessly to assist the sleepers, however, often they need the assistance of us who are still vibrating with physical consciousness to get these other's attention.
Once the attention is secured (I do this by acting friendly and we call this PUL, or pure unconditional love)  PUL is the most important part of getting someone's attention.
Once attention is gotten, then the retriever moves this attention unto the nonphysical guides standing by and I point out these others nearby, they move out of their stuck ideas and the guides take them to the reception area on focus 27 for further acclimization to these nonphysical areas where we continue living our lives, only without the use of a physical vehicle.

gosh, I hope I explained that ok!  personally, with the retrieval you read of me and Cami, for a minute she became my own daughter, I mean in the sense of the love I had for her; as I had twin girls and within my character I knew how a young girl feels and how they need their peers around them to find their identity. The feelings of nurturing her and being able to do that, gave me a sense of my own mothering identity on this Earth plane, and therefore I grew as much through the experience as Cami benefitted from being joined to her peers and moving out of the stuck depressed thought forms she lived within.
She was real too! It's like she is still my daughter. love, alysia

Alysia thanks so much for clearing a lot of things up for me about retrievals.  It's starting to gel for me now.  It's funny but when I said "lost soul"  I wasn't thinking in terms of organized religions. ;D  I'm glad you pointed that out and said they are stuck not lost!  In fact, since I don't believe in organized religion the believers of such would probably consider me a lost soul.  ;)

Hmmm, so in NDEs when people have described how they have seen loved ones then it would stand to reason that they are there with the dying to help them transition.  Would those who have died unexpectedly in accidents or perhaps at the hands of another be more apt to become stuck?

I was going to ask you what PUL is.   :)  The nonphysical guides, are they the spirits of people who have died or are they something different.  Of course I'm not talking about the passed loved ones but the ones who "work these areas ceaselessly to assist the sleepers".  At what level is this done by physical retrievers?  Is it a form of astral projection?  From the little I have had a chance to read so far, it seems that it is done when you go to bed.  Do you follow certain steps to "launch" into an OBE?  I have a book that is supposed to teach that but I haven't had a chance to devote a lot of time to trying it out yet.  And frankly, I'm kind of scared about trying it.  I'm afraid I might not succeed on one and and afraid I might on the other.   :-/

What is the significance of the "focus" numbers?  Is there a reason those particular numbers were chosen?

And what about animal spirits or guides?  Do they ever help the stuck souls to find their way?  Do they ever greet their special person at the time of death?  Is the poem, "Rainbow Bridge" a very accurate description of how it is for animals?  Of course I know you haven't been "there" yet.  I don't expect you or anybody to have all the answers but these are just questions I have.  Anyone's input is welcome.

In your experience that you described, you did mention that your daughter drove up.  I took that to be your "real" daughter, not Cami.  Did I understand that correctly?  And if so, when you talk to her in a fully awake state does she have the same memories that you do?  For instance would she say that yes, she experienced driving up to you?  When you said she said she had been your mother at one time reminded how when my son was about 4 or 5 and I was tucking him into bed one night he mentioned something about when he was my mother.  It blew me away!  He could tell how it affected me and he shut down on the subject.  If I would have handled it more calmly I might have been able to find out more.  Now he's 26 and way past the age where those things come so easily.  And even if he did remember being my mother he would never admit it now!   ;D

See, I told you you might be opening a can of worms!   ;D

Love,
Michele

Alysia thanks so much
Hmmm, so in NDEs when people have described how they have seen loved ones then it would stand to reason that they are there with the dying to help them transition.
____
yes, this deduction is correct and there are many many classical tales that this is so, that we are not deserted by our family members and do reunite. they monitor us when it's time for us to pass over.
_____

Would those who have died unexpectedly in accidents or perhaps at the hands of another be more apt to become stuck?
____
you are so quick! lol. yes, accidents are one chosen way to exit the Planet. both people plan the accident as I have seen this planning station while out of body due to one time I was about ready to avoid an accident on the highway and I was learning how to get around it. but yes, people are more apt to be stuck with a type of "where am I?" type of awareness and thats where a retriever would help.
_____
The nonphysical guides, are they the spirits of people who have died or are they something different.
____
They can be beings who have had an Earth life before, and they can also be beings who have never had an Earth life but who have a high enough vibratory rate they can assist others.
_____

Of course I'm not talking about the passed loved ones but the ones who "work these areas ceaselessly to assist the sleepers".
____

my grandmother is now one of the helpers on the other side. She became my mothers messenger, helping her to do a life review, in preparation for mother's transition. She had a lot of PUL. When mother was feeling guilty about something she had done, Nanny would help her with it and tell her about the good things she had done, make her feel better. A lot of us work these areas upon transition and there are training places set up. The only credential to begin is compassion.
_____

At what level is this done by physical retrievers?  Is it a form of astral projection?  From the little I have had a chance to read so far, it seems that it is done when you go to bed.
___
In the beginning I was in rem sleep. Now you can set an intention to do one and do what we call phasing. to do phasing, you relax your body but not necessarily go to sleep; you shift your attention by thinking of doing a retrieval. Other times, a lucid dream can turn into a retrieval or OBE. Bruce has some excellent books here to read of his journey, where he bypassed the need to go obe and started the superior method of phasing. Bruce Moen is the administrator here. he has 5 books out. his books explain setting an intention.
_____

Do you follow certain steps to "launch" into an OBE?
____
Not anymore, but I know there's certain methods you can learn if the traditional obe is desired.
______

I have a book that is supposed to teach that but I haven't had a chance to devote a lot of time to trying it out yet.  And frankly, I'm kind of scared about trying it.  I'm afraid I might not succeed on one and and afraid I might on the other.   :-/
____
lol!  Check out Dude's thread on the Afterlife section. He has a journal on going Obe, he would be glad to talk with you about Obe methods.
______

What is the significance of the "focus" numbers?  Is there a reason those particular numbers were chosen?
____
It's a general guideline I think. A way for us to communicate with one another about which level we thought we were in, by the similar definitions of that particular place.
_____

And what about animal spirits or guides?  Do they ever help the stuck souls to find their way?  Do they ever greet their special person at the time of death?
___
I've read a number of stories about animals being there to greet owners. they do have souls and they also evolve.
____

Is the poem, "Rainbow Bridge" a very accurate description of how it is for animals?  Of course I know you haven't been "there" yet.  I don't expect you or anybody to have all the answers but these are just questions I have.  Anyone's input is welcome.
___
Im not familar with Rainbow Bridge, but I've met my animals in OBE, and so has my daughter.
______

In your experience that you described, you did mention that your daughter drove up.  I took that to be your "real" daughter, not Cami.
____
heres where I can help a little to explain focus levels. When I retrieved Cami, it was no doubt focus 23, where I would also call lower astral sometimes. then after the retrieval I phased into focus 15, where the future is seen, we can say, certain probabilities to manifest will show up. thanks for bringing that up, because at the time of the retrieval I had not made it clear why my daughter drove up and why she was in this experience. As it turns out, the retrieval had been accomplished satisfactorily, and it seemed I was being given a special treat to drift over to focus 15 and then I saw my daughter drive up.
What happened is in reality, much time later, she did drive up, we were moving out of town together and I had not even known that I was getting ready to move. I had planned to live out my life on this farm, but plans change! so the point is, that focus levels are very fluid things.
______
And if so, when you talk to her in a fully awake state does she have the same memories that you do?
___
not necessarily, but they both have glimpsed that we three were together in another life.
____

For instance would she say that yes, she experienced driving up to you?
____
No, we usually don't have the same memories. I think the images were impressed only for my viewing the future. On the other hand, there was a period when in every dream or obe I had, I sensed my daughter's invisible presence joining me. as in observing my doings. learning something I think.
_____

When you said she said she had been your mother at one time reminded how when my son was about 4 or 5 and I was tucking him into bed one night he mentioned something about when he was my mother.  It blew me away!
____
I've heard that out of the mouths of babes...they are so close to spirit then..soon enough they become involved in their life and forget all about what went before, as it should be I suppose..think how confused he'd be if while you mothered him, he wanted to mother you? haha! I always had a feeling that this was my first mother experience ever..there were times they let me know, they could do a much better job of it than me!
____

See, I told you you might be opening a can of worms!   ;D
_______

ah yes those wiggly worms... :) dont worry Michele, I'm basically a professional blogger nowdays and would rather talk about this stuff with you than any of the other forums I blog on.

would like to see you progress in the area of your choice and post here again! love, alysis

Yikes!  You mean we have to review our lives?!   :o  I'm not looking forward to that!  It's a good thing there are training places.  I am compassionate though.  At least I have that going for me.

How long does it take to get to the point where you can do a retrieval or OBE or lucid dream?  On an average, that is.  I mean does it take months or years of work to get to that point?

Would it be okay to put the "Rainbow Bridge" in here or would that not be a good idea?  I know a lot of dog rescue organizations post it on their websites.

I'm glad to see that focus levels are fluid.  I think that illustrates free will.  We aren't locked into some kind of script.

I can see I have much work ahead in order to understand even a fraction of this.  I'm certain the Bruce Moen books would help a lot.  Alysia you have been so very helpful.  Thank you so much.

Love,
Michele

Hi Michelle, yes I would like to see Rainbow Bridge, why not post it here, since we've been talking about it.

I don't think you have to do a life review until you are older. I think you are probably a young person; anyhoo life review is not necessary to do retrievals or have lucid dreams or explore your greater self.
just maybe meditation on whatever you're learning is something speeds up your progress.

the way I look at it, we are always retrieving even when we're not activily doing a retrieval, say, look at this way, if you say something to someone that you see who is depressed. say it's a clerk and you are checking out your groceries..you tune into them and see that they are stressed out because maybe they didn't get a break yet. so you mention you like their hairstyle, or you extend them some appreciation for their hard work...this is like retrieving by giving some love unexpected to them.

so don't feel overwhelmed with all that you view here. We're just glad to have u join us. love, alysia

Hi Alysia!

I'm not sure what you mean by me being a young person?  If you are speaking of my earthly body then I am by no means young.   [smiley=lolk.gif]  But then I guess that age thing is all relative.   ;D

I like that saying something nice to somebody, or perhaps doing a random act of kindness, is a form of retrieval.  That I can do.

Meditation is difficult for me.  My mind jumps around a lot.  I need to really work on that.  I love Yoga and that does help me with it.  Especially when it's time to relax afterwards.  So maybe that's what I need to do to improve myself.

About those stuck souls...my daughter and I have gone to cemeteries to try to get EVP.  A few times we were successful in that endeavor.  If what we got were spirits of ones who have died, do you think they would be stuck souls?  Because I can't imagine why a spirit would want to hang out in a cemetery.  The ones we got didn't sound like they were upset or sad.  One is actually whistling.  Just 6 notes but it makes a little tune.  Is there someplace on here that I could try to post that?  Or a link to it?  Would it qualify for the Paranormal Audio Recordings forum?

Anyway, here is the Rainbow Bridge.  You might want to have a tissue handy, it's a tearjerker.  At least it is for me.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I got sentimental, but I didn't need a cleenex! you know I saw this place once for a dog I had taken care of for nearly a year. this pet had never really bonded with a human. she had a disease and I had not known she did when I took her in. I gave her the first walk in the park she'd ever had, and the first taste of a real chicken.
Her name was Holly. One day she stopped eating and lost the bright look in the eye, she no longer wagged her tail when I entered the room.
Still, I had expected to have her at least 3 to 5 years and couldn't accept she was leaving me.
she lingered several weeks this way, as if she couldn't bear to leave me just yet.

Finally I realized it was my fault she suffered this way and I saw her laying in the yard one day and I knew it was time to say goodbye. it had given me much pleasure to give her a brief happy life with a human. I walked over and whispered in her ear, "it's ok honey, you can leave me now, I'll be fine, honest, no need to hang on for my sake. I told her I had to go out for an errand and would be back shortly.
when I got back home just about 30 minutes later, she had left her body. I then did my retrieval thing on her. I saw this rolling grassy hill place, and I saw caretakers of the animals, I saw many details. I saw she wanted to be a mother and that could be arranged also, as well to have a best friend to play with and a nice dog house and plenty of other companions. Dog heaven!

the strange part of this whole story was my neighbor Gabi was also attached emotionally to Holly and after Holly's transition she had this visit within dreamstate with Holly in which the dog TALKED! HAHA!

Holly said, please don't worry about me, I'm very happy now!

it was confirmation for me, my retrieval had been accomplished.  :)

I'm 61 Michelle, to me, anyone under 60 is a young person. however, I have confirmation I am only 19 when I travel outside my C1. (C1 stands for waking everyday consciousness) so it's relative for sure.

Neat that u do EVP! I know there must be someplace on the web to load that up but not sure if we can load up an mp3 file here, have to ask our tech guy Allen.
there must be like a U-tube site or EVP site somewhere on the web.

I'm really not sure if those are Earthbound spirits in the cemetary or just spirits passing by who noticed you had a recording device..all I know is the veil between our two dimensions is getting thinner.
I've taken many orb photos myself where spirit is able to imprint itself on film.
occassionally a spirit is attached to where their body is laying, and these will get retrieved eventually.

love, alsyia

Well bless little Holly's heart.   [smiley=engel017.gif]  Your view of where she went sounds a lot like Rainbow Bridge.  I wonder if the unknown author had a similar experience and view as you did.  It must have given you such peace about her when your neighbor gave you the confirmation.  Is it ever too late to do a retrieval?  I have lost a few fur-kids over the years and I would sure love to know they are fine and waiting for me in a wonderful place.

I just turned 58 so I'm right behind you.   ;)

I do have a YouTube of our whistling EVP.  I'm going to see if I can get the link to work over at the Paranormal
Audio Recordings place.  Wish me luck.   [smiley=smiley.gif]

Love,
Michele

hey I would like the link to the whistling u tube evp and I will move it over to announcements, or links thread for others. I want to see if the spirit is whistling in tune...

its never to late to do a retrieval as they are in a timeless land, not clock time in psychological sense of time going by, it's all like one day over there, I conjecture, at least for an animal so if I were you, I would imagine spending time with my fur friend and your thoughts would be taking you there if emotion of love is behind them, they are creative acts.
the use of the imagination like this has produced some experiences which give a definete sense of being there in reality and also you come back and get a sense of knowing you've been there.

With another pet I had, I wandered out in obe and found someone had taken her in for me, there's helpers over there take care of all life forms transitioned. my sister takes care of horses.
same as she did in life.

I'm glad to hear there are those who help all kinds of life forms on the other side.  Oh, I love horses.  I haven't ridden in years but when I went to bed last night I imagined myself riding bareback on a beach.  Something I have never done but always wanted to do.  I'm sorry you lost your sister in this life but if she is with horses now then it must be wonderful for her.

Here is the YouTube link to my whistler;

thanks! there sounds like 3 tones of whistle each a different note, as if a spirit would whistle this tune to get attention..sounds not from a mechanical source, my opinion, it's genuine.

I can't explain what it is but I can say what it isn't.  It didn't come from any other person because nobody else was around except for my daughter and me.  There were no radios or anything of that sort around.  We were careful to note any noises we heard as we walked around the cemetery.  Birds or whatnot.  When I played it for my husband he said he thought it was a bird.  I have never heard a bird that sounded like that.  Then I came across a woman whose father is an ornithologist.  She had him listen to it.  She didn't tell him anything about EVPs or give him any clues as to how it was acquired.  He ruled out birds.  Was it a spirit?  Time traveler?  Being from a different plane?  I don't know.  We did get strange laughter on a subsequent trip to that cemetery.  And what sounds like a couple of words too.  The thing about EVP is that they sound different.  I have listened to many on the Internet and on radio programs and they all have that same, different quality to them.  You can't put your finger on it but it's there.

Anyway, thank you for listening to it Alysia.

EVP's seem to all have the quality of the slurred word, this might be because we breath words, spirits do not breath, as they don't have a physical organism to breath with. just a thought. I've listened to a couple Art Bell EVP shows..quite remarkable, some of them.
perhaps spirits are learning just as much how to do this as we are learning how to receive them? I don't like calling them spirits, we can call them nonphysical persons is better.

although you could argue the whistle must have air to produce it..so hmmm...I do know their frequency vibration is faster on this dimension, as when I was receiving thought vibrations, impressions from my grandmother once, I had to ask her to put a delay on the transmission output to me, as I was receiving an overload from her end, and too fast.

Yes, I too have heard guests on Coast to Coast play EVP.  Some of them sound like they are in a terrible existence.  Especially what sounds like children.

Wow!  How true that they might be trying to learn how to communicate with us as well.  I had never thought of it from that perspective before.  Nonphysical persons does sound better.

I wish I could receive some kind of communication from either of my grandmothers.  They died years ago.  Does that make it less likely that I would have any kind of contact with them, do you think?

here's a link to what you can try to contact grandma, I tried it and it worked the first time I tried it, but you may need several tries at it, as I found the communication extremely subtle, and a bit difficult to keep the doubts away that you are "really" communicating..however, practice does make perfect.

when u get there click on Appendix C; it's an article, not very lengthy, you can get a general idea and try it.  let us know if you are successful. love, alysia
