Valentines day is such a bunch of crap. It's just a marketing ploy to get people to spend money on total junk and or expensive junk and worthless pieces of paper with words on them.

If Valentines Day had a heart I would stab it.

Terethian, I get why you might be annoyed by all the hoopla that every holiday reinforces, encouraging the purchasing of "things" to represent affection. I suppose that, for some people, it might help them to make a loving gesture in this way, but there is really no need to feel obliged to participate in these rituals.

Having said that, Happy Valentines Day to you and all.

It doesn't help growing up around Jehovah's Witnesses whom are not able to celebrate anything except weddings and anniversaries. Honestly the approach they take towards holidays can actually breed HATE towards them. Which I am certain has taken it's toll on me also.

When I was in 4th grade, my teacher (Mrs. Linton) asked us to give Valentines to whomever we wanted. I couldn't help but notice that some kids got more Valentines than I did, especially from the cutest little girls. I have never recovered from this slight! :'(

Don send me your email, I`ll send you 1000 "late valentines" and I think I am a cute girl too. ;) although I`m not little anymore. Hows about some valentines from big girls now?
