I was wondering if any of you have read about the various soul ages over at the michaelteachings site. I got this idea in my head some while ago that if anything, I had to be a young soul, because of my social anxiety, my willingness to follow instead of leading, my somewhat distant/disconnected way of reacting to situations, no matter how extreme to might be, and other things. But according to that site, I seem to fit somewhere in the middle of the mature soul/old soul spectre.

Have you any thoughts on young souls/old souls?

I haven't looked into the Michael teachings, but I believe it is a mistake to limit our self's in such a way. Just try to grow in love as much as you can, and forget about sources which claim that you have a lot of work to do. It is up to you decide how quickly you progress towards the light, not somebody else's calendar.
