I often question religion because I only sort of grew up with it. My parents are Jehovah's Witness's and I do know a great deal of the bible from they're point of view.
(Which involves 144,000 people going to heaven and the rest that are deemed good get to live on Earth UNDER the laws of the 144,000.) Wow...just wow... They lose me right there. Every religion that says I need to be married to have sex loses me too. Sorry... I don't agree! (I am married now.) My beef is supposedly God did all these amazing things and was very interactive with the world. Often times in the old testament God was BRUTAL. Now a days God doesn't do a dang thing in comparison. Ask a religious person and they say he is waiting blah blah blah and we are given the chance to be forgiven for our sins blah..... I know all that crap. You know what? I don't believe it. I cannot put my blind faith into a book which states extremes that I cannot verify consistently today. Where are these miracles now? I mean talking burning bushes and such. I want to see some sea parting action. If God did something of this nature I would be the first person to prostrate myself and kiss a pile of poop on the ground at Gods feet. |

Terethian:
Years ago when I was an atheist, I had what I refer to as my night in heaven experience. During this experience I was completely surprised to find out that God (not in an old man in the sky sense) and the afterlife exist. Not only did I understand that they exist, I understood how it was possible for them to exist without even having to think about it. It was a deep natural knowing that pervaded the realm. It was a great relief. The happiness level in this realm was wonderful, and I understood that in the end everything works out wonderfully. I understood that Jesus Christ has something to do with it, I don't know precisely how. I didn't see nor hear him nor did anybody tell me about him. The knowledge of his existence was simply there. At the end of the experience I saw a bright star in the sky that represented him. Since the above experience, I've had other experiences and received messages which state that Christ is a key player when it comes to divine reality. But not in a stifling fundamentalist way. I don't know all of the details, but revelations came to me in a manner that wasn't a matter of old beliefs being reflected back to me. I figure that just about all of us eventually evolve to live according to the same love and light that he lives according to. By evolve, I don't mean that we have to incarnate numerous times. |

I wouldn't exactly say I am an atheist. I just need some proof. Plus after the whole prostrating myself in front of God me and him/her/it need to have a talk about the bible and just what the heck really happened.

I believe the same as R. reincarnation is not necessary. for me personally, I wanted to come back this time for my mother and foster father. so I wanted to come back. the other lives I enjoyed them too.
I miss my Indian life, I died young. but it's the experiences I feel blessed with, and nobody forced me to live any lives. we want to do it once we get on the other side, we like to plan new lives. Nothing wrong with that. As far as JC, Yeshua, he's in charge of the atonement. this word has fallen by the wayside as being too religious. actually it means the at-one-ment. If you believe we are all one in a wave of humanity sense, you can understand we will all come back together within atonement principle. that is to lay aside our differences in oneness. here, its like a theory, or a belief. on the others side is PUL more manifest within atonement principle, which is also what JC preached, as forgiveness and being your brothers keeper. thanks Juditha to remind us of basics, its good to think on priorities dear! love, alysia |
