Something has been bothering me. Very recently someone in my town committed suicide by jumping off of a bridge. I found out this from my mother who read it in the newspaper. He also went to the college I had been going to. I had been extremely emotional and down during this time. When I heard it, because my mom was a wreck over it, I had begun to feel very emotional about it. I never knew him but the thought that I could have influenced it has been on my mind. I have been interested in different paranormal ideas lately. The most bothersome thing is that the night around the time he did this...It's hard to describe but I heard someone saying in a sort of evil voice "Jump." "Jump. Just do it."
This did sort of come out of nowhere. I myself was feeling a little on edge at the time as well. But I am worried that somehow maybe I had something to do with it. My mom had been upset about it for days after. I am usually not very emotional but this particular thing affected me very much...honestly, the thought occurred to me that I might want to go on here and see if someone would do a retrieval. But that would be hard. I don't know anything about him other than he was another student, I'm pretty sure, at my college. I wonder if it is possible that someone could attempt to do a retreival or at least meditate on it and see what they can pick up.

From my experience and others', it seems we can be on a compatible wave length with someone, or even great groups of someones, without really knowing them. So perhaps your concern for the news of this one death, beyond your usual reaction to news items, and even your hearing the voice urging 'jump,' could be some such basic compatibility. You've probably heard that attempted suicide victims sometimes say they heard a voice urging them to do it, so  you may have picked up on this other person's resonance. It doesn't mean you were involved in any recent relationship.

Perhaps in the afterlife we'll find out if such contacts or sensitivities were because we're from the same 'Disc-family.' But no proof of that exists here.

In your previous posts here you've shown that you are sensitive to spirit. When Spirit becomes a priority with you, you may take the time to learn more about how it shows up in our lives, so that these glimpses do not throw you for a loop.

  Thankyou so much for the insightful reply. I would like to know more about the afterlife and how people can contact those who have passed on. Perhaps this is part of my personal journey urging me to find out more about it. I think humans are connected on a basic level in a lot of instances. I had gone through a time in my life where I was very upset about death and I have begun to overcome that over time. I also think that animals go to a spirit world. I frequently have dreams about my pet dog who passed on last year.
