Title: Trying to communicate with my grandma Post by lea on Jan 23rd, 2008 at 3:48pm
My grandmother passed last week and we are currently in the process of cleaning her apartment out. We have to be very careful before throwing or getting rid of stuff, since my grandmother would hide things in weird places. My aunt has been trying to find something, but has had no luck. I've been telling her to ask her and that she would probably try and communicate it to her and she said she has been trying that. I was thinking that I would try dreaming of her tonight and asking her a few questions my aunt has. At one time, I was very good at getting information in dreams, but over the past year, i've had problems remembering much of my dreams or establishing communication with my loved ones.
I've actually ordered the Gateway Experience CD's and am waiting for them to arrive, but I'm going to need to try this sooner. I don't really understand how any of the focus levels or communications work, as all this stuff used to just happen to me until it became too much and i started blocking it. So I was wondering if anyone can guide me into establishing communication with my grandmother. Is it more like holding the intention of this conversation with my grandmother in my head before I go to sleep? Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks, Lea |

Lea, have you come to terms and "felt the feelings" which come with departure of a loved one yet?
Can you share with us what the item is that you`re looking for? Thanks, Nanner |

It sounds like you have the right idea, Lea. I would say, go forward with how you are already approaching things, and I'm sure that given a little time you will receive some interesting results if you watch your life carefully.
The advice here, generally, is to imagine the beginning of a conversation in your mind. I would say, from my point of view, it might be effective to simply hold your mind and heart open to possibility, and remind yourself a few times a day. Something will happen. love, blink :) |

Yeah right. Imagine to talk with her. Make it up. Keep the focus. This is easy to do, what isn't easy is to accept that it is easy :-) . Now, then you have to sort out the fantasy from the real stuff. Sometimes it's simple, sometimes it's tricky when it is symbolic.
There is somewhere here on this site a short description of how-to-do it by Bruce I think. Spooky |

Thank you all for your replies.
We have found a few of the items. : ) Before I went to sleep the other night, I asked my grandmother to show me where some of these items were and i vowed that I would accept anything that came in my dreams that night. I didn't see my grandma directly but I woke up remembering a garbage can. Well as we were going through stuff and packing up her things my aunt came across an old garbage can in her storage closet. I told her to open it and inside wrapped in tissues was her engagement ring. Nanner - when you say "felt the feelings" are you referring to allowing myself to grieve? |
