have you ever come to the conclusion...
that life is merely an illusion...
we suffer from a delusion...
damned by confusion...

could it be...
i only think i'm free...
is there only the two of us...???
perhaps there is no you... and only me...???

now... here's a thought...
tis one i've sought...
there is no mine...
no... yours...
no hissen...
tis only... me...
in my self made prison...

i doubt you give a damn...
nor... that you care...
for truth be known...
you're unaware...

if my thinking... has a ring...
makes you feel the urge to sing...
for underneath we know not why...
and shall not know until we die...

all the things that we possess...
will not save us from that quest...
and when it's time for us to go...
tis only then that we shall know...

the only thing... in this life... that's real...
is the mere morsels of love... we were allowed to feel...
for the 'ego' has held us... on it's deaths row... in prison...
and truth be known... we were never ours... but were always hissen...

perhaps my ranting sounds insane...
tis but the 'ego'... that is bane...
and as we struggle to be set free...
we know the enemy... twas always me.
