Title: Karma?
Post by asethaa on Jun 16th, 2007 at 11:00pm
Lovely evening. all;

I was pondering karma this evening and got to wondering what Monroe and Bruce had to say about it. I've only just ordered a couple of Bruce's books and the topic is consuming me as of late. If I recall, Monroe doesn't seem to really touch upon it, kind of odd after 40 years or so of exploring. I guess I see him and Bruce as two men claiming they've visited the New World, and I'm really interested in what they've learned about this age old bugaboo.

Thanks for your input!

-Chuck-

Hi Chuck. maybe Bruce will respond but if not I can give you my viewpoint as others might. Karma is a word associated with eastern tradition religion while you observe correctly its not part of the TMI language. rather the emphasis is that a consciousness will come to Earth to gain all types of experiences in different positions of life, high or low, simply for the experience gain.

in another example the bible speaks of it differently (not a bible person myself) the bible says eye for an eye, and the sins (errors) of the fathers are visited upon the children, and that can be seen as karmic conditions or consensus agreement, that things are the way they are and can't change it.

but once u get beyond the futility of dwelling on karma, you can reach a level of it's us collectively that made the world as it is, and its us that working together change our world one by one, you get beyond the karmic implications, to understand eye for an eye is a duality state that occurred when we fell out of the garden by choice to come here.

it's more like not, why is the world the way it is
its like why not?
or as my ex son in law said whose a mtn climber, when I asked why climb a mtn, he said because its there.

welcome to the board! love, alysia

Alysia summed it up pretty well but I'll just give my thoughts..

For me the law of cause and effect is another term of Karma. I don't buy into the eye for an eye and the popular misconception of karma as a cosmic way of punishing 'bad deeds'. That's coming from a perspective of judgement. Karma means balance in my opinion. 'Like attracts like' is also another popular term used in spiritual circles. If you think of it in the way that if you hurt someone you'll be hurt back, this is not necessarily a punishment and can be still reconciled with the belief that we are here just to 'experience'. If you send negative energy to someone you'll receive it in return and then you experience what it is like on the other side of the equation.

I've gone over in my mind before the question of consciousness and the purpose of life. As in are 'we're here to learn' or simply to experience.?

I think they cancel eachother out as you can't help but learn without experience and you can't not experience without learning. Depends on your definition of the terms. So many squabbles over semantics  ::)

P.S. I've only just received the Afterlife Knowledge Guidebook from Bruce recently, I'm not sure what he has to say about the subject. I wonder will he pop in to this thread to share his knowledge. :-/

Karma is one of my favorite subjects. I love the way people seem so consumed by wishing Karma away. So many talk in ridles about it, as if they can tell the story of karma and beleive it to be what they want it to be. O it would be nice , would it not if all our sins where washed away without any return for a wrong action, just put it down to a lesson unlearned. Sorry , as has been said in the last post, Karma is about balance. The law that we operated under down here on planet earth is, ALL ENERGY IS RETURNED, that meaning, what ever deed you sow so shall you reap. Its all about energy, when your in the higher planes, you and your higher self will pull to you what is needed to correct any inbalance. Now it would be nice if it was of a positive nature, but I'm sad to say there arent many souls journeying here that have reached that level, so unfortunatly most of our karmic debt has to be , at the moment anyway, that of a negitive rebalance. We need not be to concerned though for each negative experience due to karmic balance helps clear our etherial line. So its all good, after all we did agree to it.
