I am trying to put an image on my profile and don't have a clue how to do.The pic is on my computer.How to transfer to my profile on the forum?
Love to hear from someone about this.

Hi David

1.  Have your picture in your 'my pictures' folder.
2.  Google or yahoo 'imageshack' (excellent picture hosting service provider).
3.  Read imageshack instructions - click the browse button and upload from your computer.
4.  Your 'my pictures' automatically opens.
5.  Double click on your picture that will put the link in the instruction box.
6.  Click on re-size for avatar (the smallest one)
7.  Click host it.
8.  Lots of links come up.  Choose the last one - direct link to image.  Highlight it and copy it.
9.  Sign into your profile here on the board - change profile.
10. Option in profile - I have my own image - paste the link there. (just above the signature option)

Hope I've explained it well enough - I haven't the exact tech words but if you follow the steps you should be okay.

thanks but my god how complicated could it be??why can't we p[ost direct from "my pictures"? I can do this so easily on the Froggy website which is a Peugeot car forum in oZ.;

Hi David, if u want, I've done this before for others, send your image to me, I'll put it up on photobucket where I keep all my images. I can resize it too for you. then I'll send you the url of the photo, then you do what Caryn said to go to your profile and where it says "I have my own photo" you paste in the url. love, alysia
