Title: Girlfriend passed away Post by mvm on May 20th, 2007 at 2:01pm
Hello everyone,
On April of this year my girlfriend past away due to being hit by a motorbike, she was 26. Since this time I have spent a lot of time on the net researching the afterlife in desperate hope of knowing she has passed onto a better place where she is happy. Her grandmother passed away a few months prior to her accident, furthermore my girlfriends cousin was killed in a car accident five days after her funeral, he was 50. I have dreamt of my girlfriend since when we danced together. My question is will I ever see her again?, especially as she died so young and I am only 30. I havent tried to contact her through mediums etc as I do not understand the afterlife and thus do not want to tamper with something that may effect her in a negative way. Are there safe means of this type of communication which wont harm her? Hope what I say makes sense. |

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I don't think you can affect her adversely by trying to contact her.
There's alot of stuff on this site, and alot of stories. If you dig around, you will find them. Have you ever read any of Bruce's books? |

MVM:
I'm sorry for your lost. Regarding what happened to your girlfriend, people who have investigated the subject of the afterlife have come to different conclusions. Therefore, you won't obtain one conscise viewpoint. However, just about all investigators have found that there is no such thing as a wrathful God who punishes people and sends them to hell. Most people would say that a person creates his or reality for the afterlife, while he or she is alive. If a person was basically a good person (I'm not talking about sainthood here), he or she should be okay when he or she crosses over. And there is lots of help on the spirit side. Loving spirits who point recently deceased spirits in the right direction when they get lost. If you want to read something that speaks of things in a positive way, check out one of George Anderson's books, or the book "Hello from heaven," or read some of the numerous near death experiences that exist on the internet. If you want a personal opinion about whether life after death exists, numerous experiences have told me that it most certainly does. |

MVM that's got to be rough to deal with. I also experienced the death of someone very close to me, and i found for me the only way to really deal with those kind of feelings, is through developing ones inner spirituality.
Meditation is a universally great way to start in this--and the more you do it, especially with the right intents, the more you open up to the 'nonphysical' of which your girlfriend is concentrating her awareness in. I hope you experience whatever you need for your greatest growth, and for others around you. |

Thanks everyone, I think my first course will be to read the first two of Bruce's books. Its so strange how in all honesty I never actually gave much thought to the afterlife before, apart from my basic catholic up bringing of heaven and hell, now it is a subject I find myself drawn too in order to both seek comfort and have an understanding of why this terrible event happened. Thanks again for all the reply's.
