Title: Voyages into the Unknown in Danish Post by Anja on May 17th, 2007 at 1:50pm
This is what the Danish translation of Voyages into the Unknown looks like:
(take a closer look here: http://uforklarbar.dk/presse/rejser_ind_i_det_ukendte_omslag.tif) It was published in Denmark in December 2006. 8-) ~ Anja |

I agree Alysia. It's neat to see this, but I wonder why the Danish version has a different cover though. :-?
Thanks Anja. You have a beautiful photo! My mom and her family are from Copenhagen. :) |

Cool Anja. I'm glad this book, one of my favorites, will be available to folks in Denmark. Uh, are you the publisher and translator? I couldn't open the link you provided - my computer is having problems with quicktime. Anyway, thanks for the post. - Rob

Thanks, everybody. :)
Yes, I translated and published it. And now I'm busy translating the next one. Then the next and ... :o But it feels so good to be doing it, so I'm not complaining. 8-) Spooky2, I wonder why they haven't been translatet into German yet. By the way, do you know if Bruce has any workshops there this year? Vicky, are you ever in Denmark then? :) Love, Anja |

Anja,
I was only there as a wee one. :) I'd love to visit some day though. My brother and I never did learn to speak Danish. Mom and dad spoke it often when they didn't want us to know what they were talking about. My dad is from Mississippi, and he met mom on a cruise ship to Canada and they've been together ever since. Early on he moved with her to Denmark and learned the language so well that no one believed he wasn't Danish! Pretty impressive, I'd say, for such a hard language. I'm sure you don't see it as a hard language, but I wonder...how difficult is it for you to do the translations? Do you find that there are words or phrases that are hard to find an exact translation for? |
