I had a dream last night.  I was in a car, and it was going in reverse in the dark or twilight down a winding mountain road.  Veering off the road appeared to lead to a certain crash or bad end.  I was in my Subaru, and I marveled at what was keeping me from going off the road, as it was dark and we were going in reverse.  Briefly I thought of all wheel drive, how that is a safety feature in my dream.

Every time I tooki  the wheel, and tried to steer the car as we were going in reverse, it would head off course and almost fall off the winding road into a divider.  I finally gave up, realizing that my efforts to steer backing up down this winding road were much worse than the direction the car was taking on its own.  There was, as you can imagine, a sense of unease, waiting for the impact of a collision, backing up on a winding road in the dark, and yet, there was a sense of wonder, that somehow, the trip was progressing without my driving, in reverse.

I like the sense of wonder, and the feeling of the dream that steering is not necessary because somehow there is a power taking care of things if we don't interfere by trying to steer (with ego?) speaking personally.

I found after writing down some paranormal things that happened, that there was something catching me even when things looked the worst. hindsight is 2020?  :)

I like the symbol of 4 wheel drive, as rear wheel drive is just the rear wheels turning, but in your dream you have the front and rear wheels turning, not only that, but you don't have to turn the wheel to stay on course. also 4 wheel drive gives a safe feeling when driving in snow, more control of the vehicle.

all in all, reading your dream this morn is just what I needed to hear personally. thanks. also maybe its a symbol of getting "back" to basics? and you don't need to fret?

I know its dark or twilight but the sun always comes up.
