The earth plain is a dark ,dark world nothing good ever happens on this earth plain anymore it is all doom and gloom ,the saying HELL ON EARTH is definitley true no wonder there is so much human suffering going on in this dark ,dark world we live upon ,i dont honestly think it will ever get any better i think these are the dark days before the end of life itself as we know it, i know i sound like a sooth sayer but this is the way it is ,so we might as well face it ,everything is getting worser instead of better on this earth plain unfortuanatley love deanna

I'm sorry ladies..I know this life can be tough, and the last week I have gone through nearly broke me. But, I've got to say, that first post sucked all the life right out of me.
Adding more negativity to the darkness only adds more darkness..how about a candle? Go Light Your World There is a candle in every soul Some brightly burning, some dark and cold There is a Spirit who brings fire Ignites a candle and makes His home Carry your candle, run to the darkness Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn Hold out your candle for all to see it Take your candle, and go light your world Take your candle, and go light your world Frustrated brother, see how he's tried to Light his own candle some other way See now your sister, she's been robbed and lied to Still holds a candle without a flame Carry your candle, run to the darkness Seek out the lonely, the tired and worn Hold out your candle for all to see it Take your candle, and go light your world Take your candle, and go light your world We are a family whose hearts are blazing So let's raise our candles and light up the sky Praying to our Father, in the name of Jesus Make us a beacon in darkest times Carry your candle, run to the darkness Seek out the helpless, deceived and poor Hold out your candle for all to see it Take your candle, and go light your world Carry your candle, run to the darkness Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn Hold out your candle for all to see it Take your candle, and go light your world Take your candle, and go light your world |

Deanna-
I think we look at the world in terms of the circumstances of our own life. If things are going bad, it's easy to think that the whole world is going bad along with us. Also, I think that some people who have lots of interest in the afterlife perhaps are leading unsatisfactory lives of their own. Maybe they look upon the afterlife as a welcome change from this world especially if things are going badly for them. Here's just a suggestion....why not take a break from your computer for a while? Why not go into your town or neighborhood and volunteer to help in some way? Maybe in a nursing home or just a neighbor who needs some favors. It might do you a world of good. There are some people who spend many hours each day, posting things on conversation boards. Not just this one but others as well. It's one thing if they are disabled or home-bound, but if not it strikes me as a big waste of time. We are here for a reason. I don't think we'll find the reason on this or any other board. God really does help those who help themselves. R |

Oh, hey no, this is not a dark world at all. This planet is making
huge progress. It is going backward in a few areas, but as we become aware of that, we can correct that. Thanks to the recklessness and courage of George Bush, there is now a working democracy in Afghanistan, and life is safe in Kabul, the capital. The cruel oppressive Taliban have been thrown out, and they are not going to be voted back in. It is hell in Baghdad, but this is caused by religious error, and religious errors ARE CORREcTABLE. I sit in front of my computer and drink in the beautiful knowledge that is pouring in here, to web sites like this one. As I assimilate it, I will be able to show others how to correct their errors and end the hell of religion gone wrong. I especially appreciate the thread on forgiveness, thank you, Juditha, for starting that one. Forgiveness is what we will desperately need in Baghdad, which is locked in cycles of revenge. What you are experiencing personally, Deanna, is just the result of life's difficulties for you personally. But these problems are solvable. We must help you pull out of it. You have done something for me in reminding me that I, we, can solve most of the worlds problems, I know how, and I need to get on with the job. love, Boris |

I've been away here and there lately and missed this thread. Deanna and Juditha, it is a confusing task to lift yourself up out of a discouraging view of the world sometimes. I so totally understand.
I suggest that you try very hard to carve out the time in your life you need for healing and restorative activiites for your body and mind. We have to feed the mind with what will sustain us when we are bombarded by an unhealthy amount of negative stimulation. I use daily meditation for this. Some is guided. Some is just special brainwave music. But all have the purpose of uplifting the habitual thoughts that we sometimes had difficulty replacing and helping the brain find a more balanced state. Thre is not a day that goes by that I do not do this, and have for several months now. Before that, I might let a day or two or even a week pass. No more. We are not made to absorb the negative stimulation that we do in our communities and our world. But, yes, there is always something positive which can be done. A task accomplished gives a person satisfaction. Find tasks that will lead you to a better existence.....identify them by name.....do a little toward these things every day, if only write them down as a map to your future. But most of all, I say rest. It is really okay to rest as much as you need to do so. Sleep and rest are SO underrated in our societies. Especially life changes such as divorces can be traumatic. I never expected it to happen to me. It was much more difficult than I imagined..... and also much more rewarding. much love to you all today, blink :) |

good and honest thread, thanks Deanna, for your call for support as deep in all of us, we wish to answer your honesty and you acknowledged us when we did.
I can't add anything thats not been said, only to agree with Boris there is light streaming into this board and we have community, on of all things, an internet because this is the age of the internet. has anyone noticed how people come together in power on the internet? talking about the way that people effect each other, just in a single word, we can inspire each other, or as Shirley said, feel heartsick to read it's a dark world. For some, we go to each other for empowerment and thats just fine. so we're not judging Deanna at all, we are loving her as we know what she's talking about. If you look at the whole world in a historical sense Deanna, we have been marching down the road as the human evolves. We no longer have the plague, women are voting, and we are slowly living longer lives to increase our life spans. and Boris just gave me something good to reflect on; about the situation over in Afghanistan; I never thought of it that way! that surely is a good thing for the world. I know we are all caught up in personal problems, and you've heard this before about looking to see if your cup is half full or half empty is to walk on the sunny side of the street. already I can see you perking up Deanna! Don't worry too much, see honey, when you reach the bottom of the barrel, theres no place to go but up. here's a hug for you! love, alysia |
